You are aware of issues with both Japan and China, Can you actually devise a strategy to get both sides to cooperate?

As far as I know, there is really only 1 territorial dispute, which is more about symbolism.

Leaving that island, what are Japanese apprehensions? How can you devise a framework by which those differences can be narrowed?

As a nation/society Japan is rather "masochistic", the more you hit them the more they will respect or even love you back. Like always Japanese will only respect strength, not only the kind they could see but they have to feel the pain to be convinced. So the only solution to Sino-Japanese impasse is for the Japan to get a nice beating at the hand of China. Ofc the opposite could also happen (with assistance of US & co.), but that wouldnt solve anything because Chinese will only respond with more hatred and preparation for revenge in the future, until the time to "get even" (or swallow parts/whole).
