Pakistan is blessed with vast land, natural gas reserves, petroleum, extensive coal, iron ore, copper, salt, limestone and gold besides other natural resources, many of them hitherto undiscovered. In fact, according to one survey, Pakistan has the second largest salt mine, second largest coal reservoirs, fifth largest gold mines, seventh largest copper mines, the country is the 11th largest wheat producer, 12th largest rice producer and seventh country of the world with nuclear power.

The Canadians don't seem to get blatant sarcasm...

I had a friend of mine explain to me that Pakistan has no middle class. Either the elites which have accumulated wealth through corrupt means or the poor.

The people we call Middle Class are basically poor people who have managed to get at least one person out of Pakistan, he earns and sends most of his money back. Otherwise how can a Middle Class family survive on 30-50k salary/mo for a white color job. Things have to be somehow supplemented to take that figure beyond 100k to call it Middle Class living. This was told to me by one such person himself.

Perhaps you can now call this man for money program as the more 'cost-effective' way of supplementing money. People will aspire to be run down by American consular staff, perhaps lie down in front of the gates of American embassy.
