Indian budget is used poorly. Weapons procurement is a mess. They should outsource procurement to Pakistan, which could buy them the needed weapons at half of what they are spending on idiotic BS local projects and gold-plated foreign toys.

Pakistan has to spend what it has to on the military because of an unwanted American war on our door step for the last 15 years which has continuously spilled over into Pakistan and the fact that India spends so much on its military which is focused primarily against Pakistan so that spending is justified.
India has no leg to stand on as no one in the neighbourhood wants a war with India except Hindu radicals/terrorists in India.

Also all these weapons become useless on both sides when Nuclear war option is put on the table so spending billions on conventional weapons actually wont stop any wars. We both know nuclear is the only threshold both sides are scared off.

Of course, it is a good job..At least some sanity should be established in importing the weapons...In South Asia, no one is going for any war due to nuclear weapon in the hands of India, Pakistan and China...So it provides an oopertunity for both India and Pakistan to spend money on local arm industry rather than spending outside..

China needs USA consumer base, USA has half of dozen nations to shift manufacturing but China can't replace US and EU. That's why Chinese ditched you at FATF.

Don't get carried away by this forum. Tejas and Arjun are platforms that can rip apart enemy, whatever they throw at it. Compare Tejas specs and you will understand why one particular and adjacent aircraft ran away inspite of paying entrance fee.

Tejas and Arjun are being established as an ecosystem. They and other defence equipment will run off the mill like Indian locomotives that India churned out by the thousands.

Once we mass produce them, end product will be refined and optimized. Then our neighbors will lodge protest like they do currently to isro and cratosat and it sounds music to ears.
