Get Yasir Shah back replacing Afridi, he is much better than Afridi's bowling nowadays and Haris Sohail replacing either Umar Akmal or Sohaib Maqsood...bowling overs sorted.

Afridi has scored more runs than Akmal, So, Akmal should be booted out. Younis khan should be given more chance, if he comes back to form than that will be very good for Pakistan in next QF.

Who told you this .... If we lost the match then it will come down to Net Run rate which is so far better than WI but WI's last match is against UAE and they will try to do acheive big score . And it will not be good for Pakistan. Ireland is tough

Afridi looks worn out due to his age or continuous games, he has just got only 2 wickets against associate team UAE and a few runs.

Afridi has some back issues, and he looks totally worn out....I think Shahid Khan Afridi needs to rest so he could play Quarter Final or Semis....Sohaib Maqsood who has underperformed with rash, upish shots needs to be replaced and rested.

Younis Khan must play.

Irfan might be dropped to save him for QF. But he has 8 days to recover (match is 15th).

Even if pak loses, they want the score to be near irish one so NRR isn't harmed a lot.

So you're right, afridi with 50-60 runs is good. Plus he can control pressure due to experience. if its someone like haris or yasir, they will lose it after few overs.

Umar Akmal is a brilliant fielder, and he also scored a good 59 against WI, and 33 runs against Zimbabwe, crucial innings to Pak victory, where as Shahid Afridi played no good hand in any Pakistan victories with the bowl or bat.

Irfan might be dropped to save him for QF. But he has 8 days to recover (match is 15th).

Dropping Irfan could be a good idea, because Quarter Finals are only 3-4 days in time. Depends on Irfan fitness, 8 days is good rest time anyway for Ireland match, which is a must win for Pak.

There isn't that much difference with afridis and yasir shahs bowling, afridis batting even 20-30 runs at his strike rate is what makes the difference.

Pakistan top four should be building a base/platform for batters 5-8 to smash from overs 35-50 unfortunately we haven't had decent openers since saeed anwar, we have always relied on our bowlers to dig us out of a hole.

So it is imperative to have younis khan even tho he is out of touch, and drop mqsood. I would have had fawad alam or shoaib Malik but selectors thought otherwise The loss of hafeez has been felt greater than saeed ajmal.
