Jihad in J&K has been obligatory to all Muslims for some years. Had I been younger I would have liked to avail of this opportunity to fulfill my duties, a second time, as a Muslim. But on a technical point: Indians have an array of Bahinis / forces raised and trained separately. Some belong to MoD, some MoH, some to J&K State Govt, some to other State Govts and others to PMO. All officers do not belong to the IA officer corps. Therefore, coordination and linkage must be impossible.

What is the use of talking Kashmir, when every thread on Kashmir are the same - the same predictable and boring posts from both sides.
The underlying part is India is not going to part with Kashmir. Indians consider Kashmir to be their Integral part and a symbol of its secular constitution, and also consider UN resolution to be no longer valid and replaced by Shimla agreement.
Pakistan should come to these terms or risk loosing their remaining country. As the saying goes "it is better to have one bird in the hand than two in the bush".
Anyway Kashmir threads should be posted in Kashmir war section what is it doing in Strategic Geopolitical issues section. Mods should close this thread or transfer this to Kashmir war section
Thank god you are not young or you would have been another addition to unmarked graves in Kashmir
What do you mean some of them ???
Did you take any polls so far ??? in-fact millions of freedom fighters are there trying to retake what they lost...
Than how you can say some of them...
And your army enforced remaining to keep quiet for as long as it fits in your benefit...

and you are not grown up yet and still stuck in 90s.
We believe in seeing two birds flying free even sitting in bushes looks much beautiful, than one who get caught in hand. And this approach comes with fight for freedom.
The 1000-strong Special Operations Group, is an elite anti-militancy force of the Jammu and Kashmir Police. The Special Operations Group was raised in 1994 with the idea of 'involving the passive Jammu and Kashmir Police in the anti-terrorist activities and giving a local face to these operations'.
The recruits are young men from all the regions of the state and reflect Jammu and Kashmir's various ethnic groups: Kashmiris, Gujjars, Dogras and Sikhs. Many of them are the victims of militancy in the state. The SOG was a volunteer force comprising police officers and policemen. The volunteers came for different reasons: some genuinely wanted to fight the militancy of the anti-India outfits, while some were lured by the incentives offered.
The benefits are many. Every militant killed earns the SOG Rs 35,000 to Rs 50,000, according to a police officer. Extra is paid for arresting the militants and capturing arms and ammunitions. Then there are the out-of-turn promotions. Hundreds of officers have risen up the ranks while hundreds of policemen have become officers in a matter of a few years, thanks to their stints in the SOG.
The group operates in tandem with the paramilitary forces and sometimes with the Indian Army. It shares its intelligence with the central government forces.
