Sir, that was not my question. It is very specific. In your opinion, do majority muslims & Christians vote along the lines of development or not?
I am not claiming Modi did development or Congress did not. That has nothing to do with my specific question. I understand and agree with your sentiment but my question still stands unanswered.
I come from a long line of farmers. 50% of my family are still into farming. Demo has neither helped us not harmed us. In short, it changed nothing for us. we had nothing to loose. Do you know there are just 3 things that affect rural economy.
1. Labour - The rural economy was dealt a death blow by MNREGA. Talk to any small farmer and he would attest to how difficult it has become to find labour. People get money for sitting on their bottom and farmers struggle to get people to work in the fields without paying premium.
2. Water & Electricity - Want to know the groups of people who have been hindering water & electricity projects all over India and which political party supports it?
3. Middlemen - Enough said about them.
The so called "rural distress" is not a new phenomenon as you claim. It has been existing for the last 70 years. To claim otherwise would be to fool self.
If I have to take the single of act govt in the last decade that destroyed the rural economy, it is MNREGA. This has given rise to buffoons who won't work, get free money from govt, drink and do nothing.
Sir, unless we are living on some parallel universe, that's exactly what's happening all over the world. We are not insular. The whole reason why "WE" won't protest to resettle Kashmiri Hindus while protesting for Myanmar muslims is only and only for one reason - religion.
I completely agree that my views will change with time. 15 years back in college I was in love with communists, gradually changed to centre and I am right of centre. Who knows what 15 years from now will turn me into?
Sir, people with Hindu names calling maa durga as a pros....well, I am not sure how I can name them as anything but fake Hindus.
I don't mind an enemy, in fact I respect them. While some people are angry at Pakistanis here or Pakistani military, I don't get angry at them. They are doing what's best for their country. I understand the position and sentiment. Similarly, when a Muslim or Christian promotes their religion or their view, I respect it. It's how it is supposed to be.
Isn't that exactly what I am doing now sir? I am having a healthy discussion. isn't that par for the course
