So I came across this video on BBC Urdu. Now we have all made fun of the videos showing how dumb Americans are and how little do they know about the world. If this video is sign of anything, looks like Pakistanis doesn't know much about their own country? It came as a bit of a surprise to me, cause even I know more about Baluchistan than any of these people interviewed?

?BBC Urdu? - ????? ?????? - ?????? ???????? ?? ???? ????? ???

P.S: If you guys don't want to comment, feel free to ignore it, as I don't want to create a troll fest.

Still many knew about the situation there and many have their relatives there.... and I agree with muse there are ignorant people everywhere

Why are Indians so obsessed about Balochistan Province of Pakistan.

. .
Coz you are obsessed with our kashmir

Kashmir is an internationally recognized disputed territory between India and Pakistan and we have Azad Kashmir. Notice Line of Control dividing India Occupied Kashmir from Azad Kashmir is not International Borders. Pakistan's Balochistan province has International Borders with Iran and Afghanistan.

Do you claim Balochistan Province of Pakistan, which is internationally recognized as a province of Pakistan, is yours?

Pakistan's Balochistan is like comparing to India's Tamil Nadu. The world recognizes Balochistan as part of Pakistan just as much as the world recognizes Tamil Nadu as part of India. Kashmir however is disputed territory, recognized by the international community as disputed territory.

You Indians are not even obsessed about AZAD KASHMIR (under Pakistan's control) as much as you are obsessed about Pakistan's province Balochistan.

BTW, It was very sad to hear about the Punjabis not knowing about Balochi's that much... but also do not forget the peoples living in Maharashtra would also probably not know about the cities of Arunachal Pradesh.

Asking Punjabis (particularly the peoples of Lahore) about Balochi's is like asking about the peoples living 1500~ kilometers away from your home town. So it is very common thing that not many peoples will not be able to tell you that much... but I am surprised to see they did not know about the names of the cities of Balochistan as I was hoping for better response

Pakistan didn't occupy any country's land. We Pakistanis never went to war against Afghanistan nor did we have any discussion with them about land. Maybe you are confusing the Afghan government who sold half of its territory to the British before the word Pakistan was even thought of. And every country on earth and the UNITED NATIONS recognizes Balochistan province as integral part of Pakistan, thats why we have INTERNATIONAL BORDERS between Pakistan's Balochistan Province with Afghanistan and Iran. It matters very little if Afghans recognize the International Border or not, by International law everyone must accept the International Borders, unlike the Line of Control we have between Azad Kashmir and India Occupied Kashmir.

Balochistan, like every province of Pakistan, decided to remain part of Pakistan in a referendum held under the auspices of the Independence of India Act of 1947. Kashmir was not given a referendum therefore its disputed.

And here is another news for you indian trolls:

True not many people would be able to say much about Arunachal Pradesh, but mind you India has 28 states, Pakistan has only 6, and Balochistan being the biggest one.

Yeah I didn't expect the illiterate people to know much about it, but most of them looked educated, some could speak even speak English. Apart from the two elderly men, no one knew much about the subject.

Thanks for the mature reply btw:cheers:
