So hurricane Irene came and it went , it saturated the soil in east coast .... the ground can no longer absorb water ... and plus flood waters is flowing down to lower areas creating flash flood

Non believers stated well see it was nothing , I mean literally jumping in joy and cursing the newscasters and other people about their knowledge and intent

KATIA

What a strange miracle that a hurricane a new hurricane category 4 is born in same location from where Irene was born , exact same path - even strong more powerful :agree:

So what will happen when you add , saturated soil with water , muddy mountains , and then comes Category 4 hurricane Katia off to New York again

I know news is not following it this one could be BIG

This MONSTER IS COMING DIRECTLY from Sea not skimming on coast ...its coming FULL BLAST speed over hot seas , Category 4 ... !!!! This is the real deal

Very rare that two hurricanes are born in same location and following same path into East Coast USA but man if this is not a sign then I don't know what it is

Hurricane Katia is suppose to hit USA around when ?

You will not believe the date if I told you that I read it on news at date 9/11

.
You sound happy about it. A sign of what?

I wish the best for the people in the American East Coast.

.
Wierd but than again mother nature always throws surprises at us.

.
I am just concerned citizen of the world- sooner they evacuate the area the better because this will be a monster as there is nothing in its path to stop it

Its important to be knowledgeable and evacuate rather then be hero I think the danger will be alot of people will say oh we lived thru Irene and they will stay in homes but if the do this could be disaster

By the way its so rare that two hurricanes are born and following same path

If this hit the same city you know who ... man this will be devastating beyond imagination as there is already so much water 3-4 feet in some areas .... all underground , the subway system partially flooded in some areas roads gone ...

They just showed that the river height in big cities is 100% full from last hurricane ... can you imagine if a bigger nastier hurricane dumps 10 feet of water ?

See no more river banks protecting water any potential surge has no barriers to stop it

Also its reported that major DAMs in US are not filled to top capacity as the water is accumulating fast in them - this was true when Irene was in US they said that DAMs are just holding barely

. .
Let's wait and see how Katia evolves first. Then we can see how US responds.

.
my prayers and best wishes for all who suffered from irene and also regards katia.

Storm damage

Aug 30th 2011, 17:01 by The Economist online

America's costliest hurricanes

HURRICANES that tear up America's east coast in the way Irene did this weekend are rare compared with those that slam into the Gulf coast and Florida. But getting up to New York, and indeed New England, is not unheard of. Hurricane Carol hit Long Island 57 years ago today, and while considerably smaller than Irene but still managed to get into the top 20 list of hurricanes as ranked by damage to property. How Irene will fare on the damage scale remains to be seen. Though the harm done by its storm surges and winds was less than some had been predicting, inland flooding due to torrential rain has been severe and extensive. 1954’s Carol was followed just a couple of weeks later by Edna, which for the most part followed a pretty similar track. There is no particular reason to expect such a one-two combination repeated. But this year’s is proving an unusually busy storm season, and it is not even at its halfway point yet.

Well, I cant believe that you are showing glee at a situation that may kill innocent civilians.. Its the same country that sent helicopter after helicopter to your flood stranded people last year. Ahsaan Faramosh :disagree:
