Snipers - Thermal Sensors - Quadcopters - Time to change campus security.

Strong Offence is equal to strong defence. We shouldn't prison our freedom in Armored Cages to avoid terrorist attacks, we should take the fight to their doorsteps to minimize their counter attack capability. Meanwhile, teachers should be trained in using Sub-Machine Guns. AKs have too much recoil meanwhile SMG's would be much easier to fire for teachers with better accuracy.

does anyone know the details of the attack? like how were the terrorists killed, who killed them, where did they fight, when were they killed. what role did campus security play?

Are you serious horus? although I have advocated myself that Private Security need to be better equipped, the assialants are arriving in 10 lakh car armed with AK 47s and grenades and the ones to challenge have rusted up Shotgun which merely cost Rs.1500 ---- and in most of the cases many don't even know how it works ----
so equipping them with Semi Auto Rifles (Ak 47) would be a good idea (in case of Varsities and Colleges with open ground & vast premises) and focus on Training of Security personnel -----

Security experts lay out parameter security measures for Universities and Schools under threat from terrorism.

All Universities or Schools deemed under threat by Intelligence services must be protected by Snipers & Sharp Shooters armed with thermal range finders during study hours. We were able to prevent a great number of casualties during BKU attack because the terrorists were tracked, engaged and neutralized by Snipers. Further casualties can be prevented if the attackers are engaged upon entering the premises or beyond the boundary wall.

The university security forces should be trained to work in coordination with the Snipers. The campus security should have quad-copters (Not very expensive to buy) for remotely monitoring the outside parameter of the campus for possible infiltration points and to support the security forces to swiftly track, designate, engage and neutralize the infiltrators BEFORE they can reach the campus buildings.

Mock drills should be coordinated with the students and staff so they know what to do in a crisis situation like we experienced at BKU campus. The students, staff, campus security and Police should have a SINGLE training program so their response is in a coordinated manner instead of a disorderly manner which tactically suits the attackers.

These measures do not guarantee zero casualties during such attacks but they do ensure that our casualties are reduced while the casualties for attackers are swift and decisive. Engaging the attackers upon entering the campus slows them down which buys more time for SSG to arrive on the scene to dispatch them to hell.

Opinions?

This is probably the better source. He talks about minute things that would interest PDF. Like when did MRAP come, what weapons did police have. He shows entry points, describes dead bodies of terrorists (headshot). Interviews DIG. Very professional interview.

I don't see why you are sharing that with me, I kind of followed it as it was happening. But thank you anyway.

You will protect universities, then what, they will go for colleges / schools and there are thousands of them.

How many and where are you gonna protect them. Its not the solution.

We need to go into Afghanistan and start targeting them. The facilitators caught here need to be given extreme punishment and that is death. Facilitators property / house / money / savings all need to be confiscated. Make an example out of them and i can assure you they will start finding no facilitators, which diminishes their capacity to attack inside Pakistan.
