Karachi

The Sindh National Front (SNF) and the Pakistan Muslim League –Nawaz (PML-N) have agreed on a merger, the details of which will be announced in a public gathering to be held in Larkana in a few days.

“An official announcement regarding the merger would be made in a few days by the PML-N, in a public meeting to be organised in Larkana,” an SNF office bearer said. Five representatives each from the SNF and the PML-N participated in the meeting, which was held at the residence of SNF chief Mumtaz Bhutto and lasted for over three hours.

“Arrangements are being made for the public gathering,” a party representative said. The meeting held this Sunday was just a formality as matters had already been decided between the two parties, said a member of the PML-N delegation. The merger became possible as both parties were willing to take steps against the incompetent government, another party leader said.

The PML-N would give at least five tickets to members of the other party for the upcoming general elections. Also, there are chances that the SNF chairman, Mumtaz Bhutto, might be appointed as the central chairman of the PML-N.

Several leaders join PML-N

Several political leaders from various political parties joined the Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz on Sunday and vowed to fight rampant corruption which was prevalent in the country.

“Under no circumstances would we allow unnecessary exploitation of the country’s natural resources,” said one of the leaders in attendance. They vowed that once in power, amendments would be made to the Finance Commission to ensure that none of the provinces were being exploited.

The participants said the country was being governed by corrupt people and saving the nation from their clutches had now become a priority.

As a matter of fact Imran tries too to Woo Mumtaz Bhutto away from PMLN but failed.

Marvi Memon Plays an importan role in convincing Mumtaz Bhutto for complete merger instead of mere alliance.

Corrupt joining another corrupt, btw by making this move if sharif's think they can get some seats in sindh, iam sorry thats not gonna happen

.
Lols, no one votes for the Sindh National Front and now that PML-N is associated with it, no one will vote for it. EVER

No doubt, PMLN starts from Zero in Sindh as the 2008 results shows as well. There is a lot more work to do in this PPP & MQM stronghold, PMLN needs to build brick by brick & person by person, fortunately that’s exactly she is doing right now and MNS assessments on it are right on spot.

There is certainly a ‘hard works’ going on behind the scenes instead of making tall claims here and there and that's the best part i like most in PMLN.

I agree with u here, i also beleive that both PTI & PML(N) are very weak when it comes to sindh, dont know abt PPP but MQM is very strong in urban & as well as some parts of rural sindh.

But both trying different tactics to win here, PTI clearly opted to ceasefire against these great political odds while PMLN trying to pick the bulls by its horns simultaneously :)

Let's see who's policy payed off in elections eventually.

Highly unlikely for PML-N to win the urban areas in Sindh. Most people will either vote for MQM, be bought to vote for the PPP or vote for PTI, thinking of a revolution.
PML-N has a chance in rural areas. In the amount spent on one laptop, you could buy 74 votes

We ar PMLNs Not MQM:) nonetheless thanks for your offer!!

By the way, we have an eye on NA-251 from urban side, its difficult to penetrate MQM country but not impossible.

.
This is a good move by PML-N.
MQM must be weakened in Sindh.

.
Lols, Tameem, MQM can't afford to buy laptops or spend 37000 Rs

.
I dont knw about this party but, i guess this is a good move by PMLN to abolish sindh card black mailing. All the main stream parties should represent the whole Pakistan instead of 1 or two province. this is the only way to get rid of this coalition govt curse from Pakistan.

PTI also need to focus more on sindh and balochistan.

lol, mqm never buys a vote. As for PML-N i read a news in march 2012 how you people buy votes.

P.S it will take you atleast a decade or 2 to start getting votes in Karachi. Most people in those areas trust mqm & always vote for them.

.
Its Good to have a party with a Province name in it entering main stream. As for votes how can you convince illiterate voters

Once a Brigadier came to my uni for a speech. He said that I went for recreation in interior Sindh (cant remember exact name of the place) and asked one villager who is the PM of Pakistan. He replied Bhutto. Although Bhutto had been murdered 16 days ago.

I dont think every karachite willingly cast their vote for MQM. The threat of their militant wing also plays a vital role plus there isn't any strong competition against them.

PMLN and other parties have to work very hard to get a strong vote bank in Karachi because, till yet, they were extremly inactive there... no walfare work or voice raising for the ppl of karachi. So yes it takes time to earn the trust of the ppl.
same in case for MQM in punjab and other parts of Pakistan their focus was limited to urdu speeker of karachi for a long time but now gradually they are shifting it to other part of pakistan.

good sign indeed... competition benefits comman man.
