Err, it is not new at all. Charka was a huge symbol of protest during independence, because it called upon people to spin their own cloth and reject British products.

Of course back then this was a "great,nonviolent " way of protest.

Typical example of how this group works, when they speak about a topic "freedom of speech", "dissent"."My choice" None of this freedom of Dissent/speech applies the other way.

The BJP spokesperson on this debate is behaving like an idi0t.

This was the occasion when he should have dug his feet in and fully defended people's right to boycott Snapdeal, made it clear that India is not CHina and we do not keep our citizens in by force hence Aamir is free to leave at any moment, and when Shobha dee proclaimed that Aamir would have got different treatment, had he had a different surname, he should have retorted by pointing out that Aamir is a known Modi hater with his hate being based on religion and had he had a different name, probably he would not have uttered such stupidity.

Instead he is lamely trying to distance BJP from it , and that when BJP is not being blamed for SnapDeal fiasco. Looks like constant bashing by media has scarred psych of BJP spokies.
