I understand your need for coming to a comrades aid, but the conversation is about China and the US sharing space. His comment was and is in context, and there is no sidestepping it.

In response to your plea to be hands-off a brutal murderous dictator who starves his people (hmm, where have seen the same play before I wonder)- I submit, Venezuela is a genocide awaiting happening. When you have no personal accomplishment to fulfill your psychological needs, you try to identify yourself as part of a larger 'prestigious' group so that you can persuade yourself mentally to feel spiritually 'superior' to other groups. It's a bit like the Ah Q mentality.
