Security forces apprehend leader of banned outfit Baloch National Army

The security forces have successfully apprehended a high value target, Gulzar Imam alias Shambay in a high profile and a successful intelligence operation, lead by the intelligence agency.
According to ISPR, he has been a hardcore militant as well as founder and leader of the banned outfit Baloch National Army, which came into being after amalgamation of Baloch Republican Army and United Baloch Army.
Baloch National Army had been responsible for dozens of violent terrorist attacks in Pakistan including attacks on law enforcement agencies installations in Panjgur and Noshki.
Gulzar Imam also remained as Deputy to Brahamdagh Bugti in Baloch Republican Army till 2018.
He was instrumental in formation of Baloch Raji Aajoi Sangar and remained its operational head.
Gulzar Imam's visits to Afghanistan and India are also on record, his linkages with hostile intelligence agencies are being investigated.
The hostile intelligence agencies reportedly also tried to exploit him to work against the state of Pakistan and its national interests.
Gulzar Imam was apprehended after an innovatively conceived, carefully planned and meticulously executed operation, spanned over months over various geographical locations.
The arrest of Gulzar Imam Shambay is a serious blow to Baloch National Army as well as other militant groups, which have been attempting to destabilize the hard-earned peace in Balochistan.
Apprehension of a militant leader of this stature demonstrates the capability and resolve of law enforcement agencies to uproot the menace of terrorism as well as speaks volumes about the successes garnered through supreme sacrifices of unsung heroes.

Bolan Balochistan
Explosion on Jafar Express near Mishkaf railway station in Bolan area.

Jafar Express was going from Machh to Lahore.
The explosion occurred after Jaafar Express passed.

All passengers of Jaffar Express are safe.
There was no loss of life or property in the accident.

The accident spot on the railway track was a pothole, but the train passed safely.

Three Terrorists Eliminated
On 13th April 2023, an Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) was initiated to clear a hideout of Terrorists linked with firing incidents on Security Forces and civillians besides planting of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) on Turbat - Hoshab Road in area of Gishkore. As a result of continuous Intelligence, surveillance and Reconnaisance (ISR) of the area, a location of Terrorists was identified and Security Forces were heli inserted.

While establishment of blocking positions to cut the escape routes was underway, Terrorists opened fire onto Security Forces. After heavy exchange of fire, 3 Terrorists have been sent to hell, while a cache of arms/ ammunition including Improvised Explosive Devices has been recovered. Security Forces, in step with the Nation, remain determined to thwart such attempts aimed at sabotaging peace, stability and progress of Balochistan

Three terrorists have been killed in a heavy exchange of fire with security forces during an intelligence based operation in Gishkore, Balochistan.
According to ISPR, the operation was initiated to clear a hideout of terrorists.
A huge cache of arms and ammunition including Improvised Explosive Devices has been recovered from the terrorists.

Four police personnel martyred in Balochistan

In Balochistan, four police personnel have been martyred in an operation against terrorists in Kuchlak near Quetta on Tuesday.
During the operation, one terrorist was also killed.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo expressed deep grief and sorrow over the martyrdom of four police personnel.
He said terrorists will not succeed in their nefarious designs.
The Chief Minister also expressed sympathy with bereaved families and prayed for the departed souls.

Two terrorists killed, one apprehended in Mach IBO: ISPR

Two terrorists have been killed while another apprehended during an intelligence based sanitization operation initiated to intercept a group of terrorists in Mach area near Sibi.
According to ISPR, the terrorists were killed in an exchange of fire with security forces during multiple ambushes based on credible information, laid along different routes in the area frequented by terrorists for last two days.
The terrorists are linked with targeting of civilians in the area besides harassment of coal mine owners to extort money from them.
A huge cache of arms and ammunition has also been recovered from them.
The clearance operation in the area continues to nab their remaining accomplices.

CTD official martyred in blast in Balochistan’s Khuzdar​

The station house officer (SHO) of the Khuzdar Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) police station was martyred on Thursday in an explosion targeting his vehicle.

Khuzdar Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Fahad Khosa told Dawn.com that the incident took place near Jhalawan Medical College located on the National Highway.

The SSP said that the official, identified as Sharbat Khan Umrani, was on his way to work when the explosion took place. He said a bomb had been fitted in the CTD official’s vehicle.

SSP Khosa said police and security forces promptly arrived at the location of the incident along with the bomb disposal squad which was assessing the scale of the blast.

He said that the martyred SHO’s body had been shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital.

Meanwhile, Balochistan Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Langove condemned the incident and expressed his grief at the CTD official’s martyrdom.

He said that the country’s fight against terrorism would continue until the last militant was taken care of, adding that Pakistan would overcome any challenge with the public’s cooperation.

On April 11, four Quetta CTD personnel were martyred after an intense gun battle with terrorists in the Killi Spin area of Kuchlak town. One alleged terrorist was also killed during the operation. ۔

The clearance operation at FC Compound Muslim Bagh in Northern Balochistan, which had commenced on evening of 12 May 23 after repulsing initial onslaught of terrorists, has been completed in the morning of 13 May 23.

In the process of clearance operation, seven sons of the soil including a civilian have embraced Shahadat while another six individuals including a woman have been injured.

On night 11/12 May 23, Terrorists had fire raided a security forces post in general area Hoshab, Balochistan.
Having successfully repulsed the distant fire raid, the escaping terrorists were pursued into the nearby mountains of Balore, using aerial surveillance means.
As a follow up, during an encircling operation launched to cut off fleeing terrorists, a heavy exchange of fire took place between terrorists and a security forces party.
During the skirmish, Five terrorists have been sent to hell so far and cache of arms and ammunition has been recovered. The operation, however, continues to track few fleeing terrorists into adjoining areas.
Security Forces, in step with the nation, remain determined to thwart attempts at sabotaging peace, stability and progress of Balochistan.
