95% of Indian workers in Bangladesh are illegal. Either they overstayed their visa (A minority). Or they simply crossed the border illegally (NE, Kolkata or Bihar people). The Garments Factory owners look the other way, because we need as many skilled workers we can get. Do you know South India contribute 30% to Indian GDP with just 250 million population? Indian GDP is 2.6 trillion dollars which makes it South India 800 Billion dollar economy with 20 crores population...

@Rain Man These guys dont deserve sympathy. Nor they are even 10% greatful for all the things India have done(Other than the 1971 war). We have so far desisted from building dams over Brahmaputra for BD. We should do that and flood them (as if they arent normally flooded during Monsoon)

Mate, these BD's over here dont represent majority of poor (or even middle class) BD people. They are just mad their fellow elite are so easily controlled and dominated (and cant power project past how far they can throw a pole vault)....so they vent here. They are psychologically depraved people (compounded by their puny geopolitical stature..esp compared to their population)....dont take their idle musings too seriously. (Its advice from good BD friend of mine).

Most BD people are quite friendly and optimistic to India (hence they visiting, and most importantly returning back to BD.... in the millions each year)....and SHW is doing good job isolating and "managing" the ones that are not

This once again demonstrate the importance of military buildup for Bangladesh.In case of that obvious Chinese move,India will try to penetrate Bangladeshi soil to relieve the pressure.I don't know if Bangladeshi security and strategic planner think about this scenario that seriously.

What prevents Indian troops from seizing Bangladesh territory and using it to reinforce the North East ?
I know Bangladeshis won't like it. There is a lot of historical precedents in WW 2. USA and UK seized Greenland, Iceland and Azore Islands to fight Germany. All of them were returned to their owners.

If India tries to breach our land and air space it will be a declaration of war and there will be full-fledged support to China from Bangladesh since our military and people are naturally pro-China. Consequently, the balkanization of India will kick off.

We consider Northeast as our natural frontier. If given a chance, our military will never miss the opportunity to reunify this area with Bangladesh.

Bangladesh might not like Pakistani rule, but that does not mean they like Hindu India any better. I think the separation of Pakistan and Bangladesh is actually good in the long run and the fact remains, both are staunch Muslims and both hate India. China is already planning to prop up Chittagong as the next pearl.
