I know that Sikhism does not have a particular method of disposing of the dead but if the community feels they need a crematorium. Give it to them. What is such a big deal? And the numbers are too small to discuss the environmental issues with this too.

If state is going to bear the costs then it should bear costs for all the communities in pakistan not just one. Its not states job, people should pay for their own burial rights if they choose to go for such pricey final rights ,so except for crematorium demand other demands are unreasonable.

Remember lawaris lashain werent buried by gov it was orgs like edhi that came for help. I really dont get the preferrential treatment talk. Beyond me.

In west everyone who wants to do cremation has to do electric cremation. I can't imagine allowing people to waste wood to burn their deads specially in current state where huge amount of deforestration has already happened in pakistan. Plus even india was facing environmental issues due to wood burning in cremation rituals. So electric is the way.

India is a hindu majority country yet majority of their hindus dead bodies are dumped in ganga as they cant afford cremation costs as its the priciest last rights method.

I think the dumping of the dead bodies in the Ganga is actually part of the last rites and not because of high price of the last rites.

Anyways this facility should be a closed and well guarded one cause many black magic practitiners perform their chillas in shamshan ghaats and also steal away deadbodies ashes.

I think the dumping of the dead bodies in the Ganga is actually part of the last rites and not because of high price of the last rites.

I thought that too earlier but then when i researched i found out in indian articles that people who can't afford cremations as wood and fuel require huge costs, dump deads in Ganga or water canals.

The cost is minimal for such things. And all other communities already enjoy a sufficient freedom already.
You should look at Hong Kong since i recently watched a documentary and got in touch with locals there to find out. They have a huge space problem and are now being forced into this simply because land is expensive and getting more and more precious.

This is no preferential treatment. This is just citizens demanding certain rights and governments trying to figure the best way to give it to them.

I understand your POV Ocean. I am not denying you that either nor i am saying that this is their right just because they are a minority.

I am simply saying the government should discuss the feasibility of their demands in a sane manner.

My point is.....my rich father left everything behind. He benifitted only from what he spent and enjoyed. The rest was of no consequence. That's why I finished working 8 years ago and everyday I think Allah and travel full time.
So work hard but be honest for the moment you are not Allah will grab you.dont cheat. Pay you due taxes and remain within the law. You will see how you will achieve success and most of all enjoy it and thank Allah.
