I have never had a bad experience with Sikhs. Of course, I haven't ever been to Punjab to see the Sikh community as a whole but I've interacted with Sikhs in my area. Some were even in my class and as mentioned previously, never had a problem with them. They are fun, easy going but very showy about things. There are absolutely zero tensions between Hindus and Sikhs. In fact, many of them celebrate the Hindu festivals like Diwali, Ganesh Chaturthi, etc along with us. Even we greet them during Guru Nanak Jayanti and schools have holidays as well on that day. There's a reason Sikhs chose India.
