Yup. Thanks.u got the link i sent?
But i see less example like the OP at least in India....Bystander effect
We would all like to think that in such a situation we would behave differently, let's hope we are never put in a position where we would need to demonstrate it but more importantly let's hope that if we are ever in such a situation that we don't disappoint ourselves...
Thats how u see it. I only said that 'good deeds are not in purview of only religion'. Even an aethist can act good samaritain. ITs all bout humanity and it has nothing to do with religion. Religion is a personal and an optional stuff."outside of the purview of religion" helping an injured child is not going to be out of the purview of any religion bro!
I'm pretty sure every single religion will say something about doing good deeds!
This is actually one of the biggest issues I have with the way this article is written, it seems to be implying that what this guy did was somehow outside the norm or not what the average Sikh/man would do! Like I have said, there is nothing at all in Sikhism that would even remotely frown upon such behaviour. Sikhism is all about doing rather than mindless ritual. The Turban is not some sacred garment that must be treated in some special way.
The subtext of this article is basically "oh look a Brown person did something good for once", it's racism in another form.
Agree. U only elongated on what I said earlier on this thread in one sentence. And regarding Jew, I also missed Taoism, Buddhism, Jainism, Confucism, etc. How come u dint ask me about these but only jews? Why did you leave the Jews out? Do you have any beef with the Jews? Eh?
I think this is human nature, to help someone in need. All across the animal kingdom you'll see such feats. If one needs religion to tell them about morals and ethics, then that person is a piece of shyt.
No problem bro@Butchcassidy, bro. That's a real nice book, read around 120 pages. Really clear concepts. Will finish it within 2 more days. Thanks for the book.
I had a professor who is doppelganger of the person in your DP.No problem bro
