Sidhu stirs new controversy, prefers Pakistan over South India

i understand what you are saying. No sikh in their right mind would choose pakiatan or afghanistan over india. i was only talking about culture.l, and culturally Indian punjabis have more in common with pakistani punjabis than south indians. i would say the same about gujaratis rajasthanis, and north indians, among other demographics.

And I am telling you that if you go beyond the superficial pop culture, a Indian punjab has VERY LITTLE in common with a pakistani punjabi muslim. He will find more in common with a South Indian on any day of the month.

The "culture" you speaking about is a very superficial thing. The True Deep culture that includes the history, values, food, literature, beliefs, tradition and practices are as different as they can be. Such deep culture has more in common with south India than pakistan punjab.

it looks like we are going to have to agree to disagree. with that being said, i do think india is bound by a dharmic culture/civilization tha connects all the country from punjab to tamil nadu to manipur.

Do you know that punjabi is not taught in pakistan punjab schools ? In a few generation, they will totally quit speaking punjabi. It's just a matter of time.

So you are free to disagree in the face of Facts, but reality is that a Indian Punjabi will be a LOT safe, secure and comfortable in south India than in pakistani Punjab among the people he thinks he is "similar" to. That is just wishful thinking and the reality is a LOT more harsh.

Lol on you as there are more than twice the number of Pushtuns in Pakistan than entire world combined.

The largest Pushtun city in the world is not Kabul or kandahar but Peshawar.

So instead Afghans feel like home in Pakistan.:yahoo:

You statement supports why Afghans claim KPK.

rss walas are coming to lynch sidhu .

oh wait they too hate south indians.

Here is a small example to prove my point. Just remember , this happened in India, not even in pakistan.

Remember, these are the SAME PEOPLE who speak the same language and supposedly share the "same culture" as per your own claim.

Firebrand right-wing leader Sadhvi Prachi stoked controversy once again on Wednesday by claiming that 62 Hindu families of Dhanpura village in Haridwar district had left in the past few years under pressure from another community.(Muslim)

She added that exodus of Hindus in Uttar Pradesh was “common” but it was “shocking that such things are being reported in Devbhoomi as well.” “Minor girls are being misled and forced into marriage. There is a need for a law to prevent cases of ‘Love Jihad’ in the country,” she said.

Former gram pradhan of Dhanpura Ram Pal added, “There has never been any mass exodus from the village. However, some Hindu families voluntarily left the area some six years ago due to communal tension. The village has a population of 40% Hindus and the communal rift is palpable mostly during festivals.”

And I am not even going to talk about the Kashmiri Hindus who now live in Refugee camps after being kicked out of Kashmir by their "same culture" muslim "brothers".

Everyone hates South Indians starting with Pakistanis.:D

In that respect, the south Indians hate each other more than anybody else :D

In most countries outside of South Asia, people do not make a distinction between people from the Indian subcontinent.
They do not see caste, tribe, region or whatever (historical) aspect or attribute you choose to distinguish yourself from one another in order to make you feel better about yourself.
They only see your actions and deeds.
So it is meaningless and a waste of energy to continue with your tribalism, since nobody cares outside of your respective countries.
You might want to think about that.
This also goes for this Sidhu fellow.

@Nilu Pule Sir Nilu Pule, I'd like to hear your input on this.
Indian and Pakistani Punjabis do share common language and culture. They get along fine abroad.

One thing I have observed on the internet that both Pak and Indian Punjabis are very racist. They will always mock other ethnic groups and their skin color. Like the Sikh jatts who brag about their caste, Punjabi Muslim jutts do the sme. No wonder bollywood which is basically a Punjabi film industry is most popular among Punjabis whether Muslim , Hindu or Sikh.

Sidhu is an opportunist politician. When he was with the BJP he was anti Pakistan and pro Hindutva. You can google his statements. An opportunist politician cannot be trusted and will jump from one team to another in a heartbeat.

You can call me biased because I can't stand Punjabis and Bhaiyyas. But this is what I think. Please don't call me a "Sir', I am no knight.

Pushtuns in KPK who speak Pashto feel at home when they visit Southern Afghanistan than when they visit Lahore. Why is it so hard to understand and accept? :D
Ironically Karachi and not Peshawar is the worlds biggest Pakhtun city... and population of KPK alone is more than entire afghanistan combined...

So you are saying South Indians hate South Indians too? That is terrible.

I will learn South Indian and give all my love to them.:D

You will learn "south Indian" ? are you even an Indian ? No Indian would say something like this. Even the dumbest Indian know there is no "south Indian" to learn.

Interesting. No wonder Sindhis are asking for Sindhudesh as they see themselves being reduced to a minority, in their own land, by the immigration of the Afghans.:D

Before British colonization, Muslims, Hindus and Sikhs had lived in peaceful coexistence in Punjab for centuries. At the time of independence, Punjab bore the brunt of partition..... Today, Punjab can be a bridge to peace between India and Pakistan ... Punjabis on both sides share a common cultural and linguistic identity... The biggest sufferer of war in economic terms is the Punjab, while the biggest beneficiary of Indo-Pak peace can be the Punjab....
