Siberian tiger crosses a highway in Yanbian ethnic Korean autonomous city in N. China

Very true sir, our wildlife in NE India including Rhinos, Tigers, Elephants, Pangolins et cetera are killed by poachers to meet the demands of Chinese alternative medicine.
Poaching protected species is a serious offence, long prison terms are handed to those crimes in China. Hunting wild animals is all together banned in China, there's no open season for any wild animals in China, we made mistakes and we admitted it, now China is trying to make it up and bring those animals back.

Siberian tiger is in Russia
China also has a healthy Siberian tiger population, they are well protected now.

We are also taking serious steps in Assam to stop poaching, Kaziranga National Park in my state is one of the few places where the forest rangers are equipped with all the latest military grade weapons to match those of the poacher's, and they are allowed to open lethal fire to save our endangered Rhinos and Tigers. This is something we must all fight together.

Damn such a shame we lost 3 subspecies. I hope the Siberian Tiger wont end up dead.

Caspian Tiger is my favourite of the Tigers. Such a shame it became extinct :(

Russian explorer wrote in his diary that there were more Caspian tigers in Xinjiang poplar forest than wolf packs barely a hundred years ago, couple of years ago some Kazak herders claimed that they sighted a Caspian tiger and Xinjiang offered one million RMB for anyone who can confirm a Caspian tiger with hard evidence, but no more sightings after that.

Are Caspian tigers in Xinjiang really extinct? Can they emerge again?

Have the remote areas of Xinjiang ever been explored properly???

I have a feeling China has not been explored properly because its huge I wonder what mysteries or beauties might be discovered especially in places that have not been touched.

I love tigers, the last captured tigers in my hometown Beijing were in mid 1970s, in 1950s, in Beijing Miyun district some farmers captured two (black/blue) colored tiger cubs.

There is recent sighting of Javanese tiger lately, but autorithy made no official confirm to protect the likely very small population from the curiousity of the masses

Siberian tiger is in Russia, maybe some cross border to China, South China tiger hasnt been seen since 1970 in China, Indo Chinese tiger is not seen any more in China, even Vietnam only have 20 and hasnt been seen anymore since 1997, mostly the tiger live in Thailand. Bengal Tiger is in Bangladesh and India. You guys are the one responsible to the many Tiger extinction due to Chinese medicine.
That is nonsense. Tiger is hunt also for their fur. Any races will try hunt for it. Try to put blame on Chinese just show your shallowness.

China works very hard to save tigers and finding ways to release tigers breeded by humans back to the wild, Chinese research team have been experimenting for years for tiger wild adaptation and made several natural reserve regions in several provinces for future tiger release. I don't know what their future would be in other countries, but tigers do have a future in China.

World's largest breeding center for Siberian tigers welcomes over 80 new-born cubs in H1

Nope, Bengal tigers are found all over Assam, Arunachal, Nepal, Bhutan and other interior parts of India.

Tigers are found all over Assam and other parts of India. They can be whatever variety or carry whatever name but not Bengal tiger. Bengal tiger is linked to Bengal that lives in the mangrove forest of sundarbans, found in Bangladesh and West Bengal.

Similarly looking tiger is found in Indonesia which is called Sumatran tiger, found in China and Thailand too but they have different names. Those although look similar are not Bengal tigers.

human beings will slaughter all the maginficant animals on this planet.....

wont be long until the big cats of this world disappear. what a boring future earth will have. overfilled with humans, and no majestic wild animals to speak of...

Don't shoot the messenger but these poor tigers are putting themselves at risk when crossing highways since idiot humans built these highways right in the middle of their habitat. Why couldn't they not built passageways under the highway for these animals to pass safely? It has been done in other parts of the world and the animals learn very quickly to use these passageways.

Nice thought but difficult when the territory of a single tiger can be 100sq K and have been tracked covering over 1000k traveling, would be a lot of underpasses that never get used.

You obviously have very little idea about wildlife, judging from your ill informed post. Bengal tigers are found abundantly all over North East India, and we seem to be doing a better job in conserving them than your namesake Bangladesh going by the current stats. Even school children are aware of this fact but you are blinded by your regional chauvinism.
