The problem is that the Shia (Iran) decided that they would move towards the south and capture land that does not belong to them.

So splitting the territory North/South won't help unless the Shia are prepared to stay there and not try to expand southwards.

Why should they relocate to Iran? Shia have been in Yemen since thousands of years ago.

I don't think it's possible to kill tens of millions of Shia in Yemen. If there is genocide aginst Shia of Yemen, Sadr would send hundreds of thousands of Mahdi Army fighters against Saudi Arabia. Don't forget Mahdi Army gets air defense missiles from Iran.

IMO Iran's plan is to establish North Yemen and arm North Yemen to the teeth. This way, Shia Iraq and Syria in the north, Shia North Yemen in the south.
