Why do you want to stop people from reacting in a non violent protest? Isn't this one of their democratic right?

Reacting and protestation can mean anything...Amir or his wife stating their desire to do anything with their own lives is their personal matter...however you may react to it by agreeing or disagreeing.
Asking for patrons of arts to move out of the country and calls for boycott of their products and movies seem at best an over-reaction.
We need to grow up as a nation in my opinion, he is not the only one talking about intolerance, many have voiced their concerns and acted upon it, goes on to show that things have changed.

Personal liberty is paramount. Beef ban, over-active censorship, etc. are not great signs.

He has voiced his opinion about a lot of issues in India. In my opinion he has done a lot of justice to his elevated position as an opinion leader for the masses.
Now when he says that he wants to leave the country for intolerance, you guys want to boycott the films to send a message?
There are so many people who do not like the idea of personal liberties being taken for granted and are protesting against the possibility of regressing as a society.
I agree that giving up citizenship is cowardly, but what I do not like is the fact that we want to fight an argument on our intolerance by expressing intolerance.
It's not the British Raj that we are boycotting, it's an Indian movie star who has been celebrated for his contribution towards the society for decades, boycott seems excessive. Cessation of dialogue is what leads away from democracy, like it or not.

It's their money and they have a right to whether to spend their money on a hypocrite or not. In an interview 10 days ealier he says country is seeing a positive change and all of a sudden his wife wants to leave the country. So please, just because people of this country hold them in high regards doesn't mean they can dismiss their sentiments just because they hate Modi.

Hi Friends,

We listened to the statements of Amir Khan and Shahrukh Khan. They can not be called anti national but they are certainly something which bring bad fame to to country and most important of all is that they are false. The whole world is radicalized. Europe, America and other western countries are no Exception Forget about Arab Countries. There is no other place better than india. India is the most peaceful country today inspite of all this false propaganda. These our so called celebrates have got a lots of fame, money and love from country. Even though they never miss any opportunity to insult country. Their loyalty is more for Dawood and less for country.

I have a simple question. Can we boycott them? We have made them Heros and we can make them Zero. We have to take a principle stand. Boycott everything related to them. Their movies, Their Programs and the goods they advertise. I listen that some one told snap deal that we shall cancel all the deals with you if you keep Amir as your Brand ambassador.

I have decided that I am not going to watch any movie of Amir Khan or Shahrukh Khan in theater. If they have the right to express their (Dishonest) Opinion than we too should have the right to boycott them.
