'Should understand what happened in East Pakistan, the atrocities committed': Imran Khan

So now Mr Khan considers himself Sheikh Mujeeb. Which means he is ready to break Pakistan for his goals? That’s insane. Whatever hope that I had for Imran is all gone. He’s turned into an enemy of the state.

However
1.Mujeeb was not given power after securing majority seats in the parliament while khan ruled for 3.5 years and voted out through the parliament
2. Mujeeb was backed by India and The Soviets financially and militarily as admitted by Russians themselves.
3. There are no atrocities being committed against an ethnicity here nor are they being marginalised. On the contrary it’s his party who is destroying public property and undermining the military and state.

Mujeeb disintegrated Pakistan for whatever reasons and if that’s what Imran khan wants than I have no sympathy left for this man.
What utter nonsense. This crap cannot be ignorance but wanton deception by you,

(2) Ultranationalist Pakistanis and Faujeets on the other hand love accusing BB of conspiring with India from the start to cover for their precious Generals who wanted to get rid of East Pakistan at any cost to protect their power.
Yahya and the other Establishment bastards wanted
India to step in, use that as an excuse to label East Pakistanis as traitors and take no blame for seperation.

Indira Gandhi on the other hand, had no interest in getting involved even after Op Searchlight due to fragile economic conditions in India and poor state of Indian military.

Pakistan Army deliberately launched a genocide to create a refugee crisis and drag India into the fight.

India still refused to intervene directly and instead chose to help out the Mukti Bahini Leadership with training and arms.
Paksitan Army was getting desperate from the beating they were taking from Mukti Bahini and India's lack of intevention hence they chose to attack India from the West.

India stepped in right at the end when PA forces were already retreating towards Dhaka. Niazi surrendered on the condition that they surrender to IA and not Mukti Bahini and therefore avoid getting lynched.

PA breeds cowardice.

Post-independence, Bangladesh Army bled for 20 years due to coups and counter coups caused by the power lust of overly entitled PMA Kakul-trained officers dominating the ranks. BA became a professional outfit with strong chain of command once PMA trained officers became a minority in the 90s due to retirements.

An excellent analysis.

The reason for the Indian Army's reluctance even after Searchlight was their disposition against China. Jacob, chief of staff to Eastern Command, reporting to Arora, had to take away several formations from the China front, with the consent of the then chief of Army staff, Manekshaw.

No offence, Pakistanis must reform Pakistan Military Academy curriculum. Even Bangladeshi military officials who were PMA graduate had tendency to coup and poking their nose in our political matters.

After PMA graduates gradually retired from Bangladesh military, our military stopped poking their nose where they dont belong...

. .
Since he knew that atrocities were committed in Bangladesh during 1971 by Pak army, he should have apologized for it while he was in the office.

I think he (and all other PMs of Pakistan) have their balls in the custody of the army. They can squeeze whenever they need.

This is the narrative sold to you by your army. Your comment clearly shows that they have been able to sell lies very well.

Scores of independent observers have given detailed accounts of events that led to 1971 partition of Paksiatn. It was power hungry and corrupt generals who tried to control the events and failed, that led to formation of Bangladesh.

It was war with India that led to creation of Bangladesh

Indian efforts to incite political and ethnic tensions as bureaucracy and industrialists were lured by false promises.
And your army had no role to play? No role of you army and politicians not ready to hand over power to the winners in a democracy?

The armed forces were caught on the back foot and were ill prepared for the imposed war.

They played a role. But Bengalis were also being problematic and West Pakistanis had their own faults.

You must be a neo liberal muhajir type i guess

A war precipitated by their own meddling in politics. A war precipitated by Niazi’s mishandling of situation in the East. A war that was lost because of poor foresight and planning of the generals. Why were meagre numbers stationed in the East to protect more populous region even after 24 years of independence? A region neglected based on theory that only fair and tall looks are a measure of superiority and right to governance.

India just capitalised on the failures of your political and military leadership. Give chance to an adversary and it would always capitalise.

The region was devastated by colonial policies and environmental crisis and faced slow development. There was no reason to pour in the troops as the unit had ample geography on its side. What was miscalculated was the subdued sense of Bengali supremacy pounced upon by India.

India will pay for what she has sowed in due time.

And the result of Geography is in front of us. Care to explain what was in the geography that didn’t necessitate any troops?

Sowing was done by your political and military leadership. India just reaped.
