The threads of the last 24 hours has left me distraught...2021 Bengal elections may be the elections of the century...This is the one election that will determine the destiny of India for 30 years...previously I was all in the camp of Mamata Didi as I felt BJP was raking up too much controversy and causing too much suffering through this CAA,NRC fiasco...But the events of the last 24 hours on PDF has force me to do a double take...There has been talks of dismemberment of India by a certain subsection of Indian Muslims with raucous encouragement from Pak PDF posters......what is an atheist Bengali Hindu ought to do? There were talks of pulling Muslim population from rest of the country into West Bengal which would lead to complete subjugation of the native Bengali Hindu populace and in turn would also dismember the Great and Vast North-East from the Mainland............
I personally preferred Mamata didi as she was a pro-Muslim candidate that the country needed at the moment, but after some of the shrill voices from some Islamic sections I am not so sure anymore
How about Sourav Ganguly? How about dada? He is vaguely allied with the BJP...India's most aggressive captain after Kapil Dev...President of BCCI...The former star of Kolkata KnightRiders
He also proved his Hindutva credentials by donating a masive amount to ISKCON so that the said organization can feed 10,000 more people daily
He matched with an equal donation to Ram Krishna Mission (which is much more intellectual,philosophical and more aligned with Bengali preferences)

. The reason I say it will be a turning point in Indian politics is because if everything goes fine in his tenure as CM it would cement BJP in WB one of the biggest electorate states in India, with (UP , WB , Maha) in the bag BJP can never lose a lok-sabha , this is why WB is so important for BJP and somehow I have a intuition that Sourav has that X-factor in him to even make him a ideal future PM candidate beating fadnavis after Shah-modi era ends because of the pan-India appeal he already has , people still remember him as a great leader and also because he cemented BJP position in one of the biggest states will make his case stronger within the party, I know I am thinking too far but is quite a possibility, everything depends on will he take the leap.
