situation in Maldives is cooking up where opposition leader Abdullah Nasheed has called on India to intervene Militarily and put down the Pro Chinese Maldivian President Yameen after he (Yameen) did not release detained opposition members on supreme court verdict. At the same time the US and UK are also more interested to get away with Yameen they consider a threat to their interests in the region and are pressing indians to put boots on the ground. If this happens there is little MNDF can do against indian forces given it's size and capability. At the same time Yameen has sent his Ministers to both China and Pak (Apparently apprising about situation however in actual to seek help in case of indian military misadventure). Given the circumstances should Pakistan make a preemptive move with consultation from China in a manner that PLAN establishes a joint Naval base with PN as well as Pakistan's Military will establish a ground base. The intervention will also be covered under legal frame work of International laws since the recognized government of Maldives will itself support this move. Further it will secure Chinese and Pakistani maritime lanes and logistics and as well as detering india from it's old record of making misadventures in neighbouring country. India will never risk any confrontation with PLAN or PN unlike MNDF as it will know the brutal retaliation which it cannot afford.
