2 things .We don't have enough money to pay salaries to our people, where are we going to get the money to buy a platform which gives us no advantage over the P3 Orions that we have and will get more of. USA will most probably replace the lost ones.
With regards to France, the limitations are on new items which we want to buy from them.It will have no effect on the contracts already made. We dont need a big ticket item from them in any case, but rather smaller items which might well come our way once the Indian contracts are signed. Perhaps by that time we might not even need those.

SAAB is offering this aircraft for Indian Navy tender for Maritime patrol and Anti ship aircraft order for 10 such aircrafts

Saab is unlikely to bag this deal coz its facing Boing P8i DIET and Bombardier in this deal
More capable versions of Both these aircrafts will enter indian service in next 1-2 yrs and Indian navy would like to ensure commonality

So SAAB would be willing to sell this aircraft to pak once it is booted out of Indian Competition
PAF erieye also uses this aircraft platform so it will encourage cost saving thanks to commonality

Or alternately the PN can invest, with the cooperation of the PLAN and Sodie navy, in a school - a school, a R&D and manufacturing facility that will manufacture the surface, underwater and airiborne sensors and command and control equipment the PN will need -- the EEZ will become one of the most important assets of Pakistan, in addition there is the huge scale of energy and manufactured goods that traverse the trade routes - So Pakistan needs more aircraft such as the P3 or Atlantique, I would go with P3 with the realization that it is a short term measure
