Its so basic - this is classic misinterpretation of what your Prophet meant - he most likely meant not to journey to non muslim holy sites and restrict oneself to only those three because most likely there werent any muslim holy sites other than those three.

The rules proscribed those days were for those times, those people and that region, some could be universal rules while some would most definately be meant for those times.

Under what aegis? deploying troops means you are picking a side, which effectively means you are creating animosity with the other side. Remember there are no individual forces or groups there - each side is backed by a group of international players and no one likes interference.

So Muslims can go to only three mosques? What about other mosques? Is prayer not allowed in other mosques? What if I want to pray at the beautiful Badshai Mosque in Thata? Am I not allowed to take a journey to go there for prayers?
