@fakhre mirpur @Ifrit @engineer saad In his book "Line of fire" he stated that during the Kargil crisis Pakistan did not have the ability to deploy nuclear weapons in ballistic missiles, this statement astonished the Americans perhaps the Indians too as they the US was under the impression that Pakistan had achieved weaponisation, this clown gave them vital information from which the US was able to make new intelligence estimates, perhaps coming to the conclusion that Paks program is not nearly as advanced as previously thought, rumours also persist that he gave them some idea of the numbers of warheads Pak possessed.
At the time Aslam Baig claimed Musharaf was lying, and that Pak had achieved weaponisation during his own tenure as army chief, who is telling the truth? As far as I am concerned Mussharaf needs to stand trial in a military court and if found guilty for revealing something so sensitive, he needs to be sent to the gallows.

Half-truth actually he want to clear the allegation that he moved nuclear missiles towards border, in fact we achieve to armed or air force back in mid-80 even PAF done exercise of toss bombing a technic to launch nuclear bomb. He is quite sharp person trying to deceive Americans but they are not idiots to buy his version.

I remember reading in one of the paragraphs on how George Tenet (head of CIA) and Mushy had a one on one meeting where Tenent presented evidence about AQ Khans involvement in proliferation, Tenet apparently according to Mushy showed him a pic of a centrifuge which Mushy immediately RECOGNISED as a pakistani centrifuge, my immediate thought was HOW ON EARTH could Mushy a non-technical person with no background in engineering or advanced science possibly immediately recognise a extremely intricate piece of engineering like a centrifuge let alone decipher its origins, talk about intellectual incompetence lol talking nonsense before thinking lol.
If you have read his book .all it is, is as about he he did this , how he did that (certainly not a self effacing individual thats for sure) how everyone was incompetent with the exception of his self, how he was promoted on merit and how his rival Kuli Khan was a mediocre general, in reality Kuli would have been an exceptional Chief, a officer who always came top of his class, won the sword of honour at Sandhurst etc.kudos

Musharraf wasn't the first to break any law if he did.
Politicians and corruption have been hand in glove for decades, Musharraf rescued Pakistan at a very difficult time.

Well i do agree that it was wrong on his part to disclose details about our program but i have the opinion that he actually saved Aq Khan by putting him in house arrest

Yes in regard to AQ Khan, mushy took the correct course of action, no question about it, however my problems with him are in regards to revealing nuke secrets, lal masjid fiasco could have been handled far better (btw I am no fan of mullah burka) i suspect the situation was deliberately engineered by mushy for his own agenda and of course NRO. kudos

I think President should be directly elected by popular vote. There is no need of Chief Minister for provinces. Governor should be selected for each division with small assembly.

G.Musharraf should not be tried, he came into power (from Marshal Law) when it was needed. Nawaz Sharif denied clearance to land the plane of the standing General (at the time). Not only that but he ordered that the plane should be diverted to India (tensions were high between Pakistan and India). All defense policies should go through the General first. Yes he did bad things and yes I expected him to do more for the country as he came though a Marshal Law but my opinion is that it was needed. By bad things I mean; he put our hero (father of the Pakistani Atomic Bomb) under house arrest due to the American president making a visit to Pakistan. That was one of the most ridiculous things he has ever done.

That's treason against the constitution of you country, that protects the PM, the President, the CJ and all others like the Army Chief and all. If this actually happened, that a plane filled with Pakistani Citizens was forced to turn around, TRUST ME, NS would be sent for capital punishment by law. There is no if or but about it. But the general didn't have a real case.

NS did remove him and put the other guy in power. Do I think that was a great decision? NO!! But do I think NS had the rights granted by the constitution to him to sack the Army Chief, ABSOLUTELY. A lot of decisions, you don't like, you have to live with due to the constitution as that's what runs a country. Take an example of India. How many times Army Chiefs were let go and there was a coupe???

When upon removal, instead of going to the court, the MIGHTY GENERAL decided to spread his wings and did a coupe, and suspended constitution, do you think that was right? HELL FUKKING NO!!! But this tell you your country-men's ego, whether its Zardari, IK, Mushy or a few others. For their purposes, they will NOT hesitate in destroying or damaging the entire country. The entire world knows where Mushy is at this stage.

Only in Muslim countries, intensity like this happened unfortunately. There is no respect for a system or the people. Some idiot gets the power and abuses it. That's why, Iraq to Syria to Egypt, to Pakistan, every country's been a mess for decades at one point or another. Now compare these countries to Malaysia and Indonesia, both Muslim countries also, BUT, no violence and intense internal culture, resulting in modernization, economic growth and prosperous economies with people enjoying a much better quality of life and peace, compared to the list I provided. This is why, to correct the system and to ensure NOTHING stops Pakistan's growth, anyone who destroys a system and the constitution, needs to be tried for treason. A couple of examples will clear any risk takers from destroying Pakistan's growth and a prosperous future for their ego.

Like I said earlier. If you want to try Mushraf, you need to make an example and dug up Zia from his grave and try him in his death. Zia hanged a democratically elected popular prime minister named Bhutto in a fake case. We are still paying for his three gifts to Pakistan.
