Should Jinnah / Iqbal have negotiated for Jammu Kashmir and forgotten about Bangladesh (east pak)??

Where did you pull this out of from? Your rear-end?

Pakistani Pashtuns don't look down upon Punjabis, nor do Punjabis look down upon Pakistani Pashtuns.

Dal Khor is a term used by Afghans, the insult itself is pretty pathetic. Pakistanis look down upon Namak-Haram Afghans as being drug-addicts, terrorists, criminals, prostitutes and ect...
No question of Punjabis looking down on the Afghans as Afghans are a never conquered race while you guys ......

First of all Iqbal passed away 11 years before the birth of Pakistan and 4 years before even the resolution through which Muslim League started demanding for a separate state for the Muslims of India.

Secondly, Sir Muslim League was a Bengali-UP creation. It all started in 1906 in the backdrop of division of Bengal. Bengalis along with Muslims from UP and Bihar were the driving force behind Muslim League. Name me two Punjabi, Pathan, Sindhi or Baloch politicians of the stature of Liaqat Ali Khan, Suharwardhy or Fazul ul haq.

If you try to study the dynamics of united Bengal before partition, you'll understand that of all the ethnic groups that joined to create Pakistan, Bengalis were the one who benefited most from it. See Punjabi Muslims were already pretty dominant in their province, same with the Pathans and Sindhis, the Baloch were also away from the yolk of Hindu domination. Bengali Muslims on the other hand were subject to oppression at the hand of the west Bengali elite. And the communal tensions were way higher there even before partition, take 1946 riots for example.

So saying that the Bengali Muslims wanted to stay with India is a blatant lie. They wanted Pakistan, they worked for it and yes we both messed up something beautiful resulting in creation of Bangladesh.
Aptly explained. Yes, BD Muslims are no push overs. Insha'Allah they'll get over this present fiasco ASAP like '47 or '75..

Well you guys looked down upon the Bgngalis and they seperated.
Now the Pashtoons look down upon the Pakistani Punjabis as daal khors.
So question of identity is still being discussed in Pakistan after 70 years of Indian independence.
What do you know about origin of word (Daal Khor)
.
In our subconscious, we deal ....Pulses, Vegetables as Inferior Food and Meat as Superior ...In our Holy books, Meat is also termed as High-Quality naimat of Allah bestowed upon us.
So
Naturally... Afghans pass slurs like (Daal Khor) is not derogatory in a sense but it makes them feel GOOD
But I have a question??
Have they ever tested BEEF Haleem cooked with Pulses....If not...then they are so unfortunate people
In Urdu/Hindi Proverb says
"Andha kia janay Basant ki Bahar"

No question of Punjabis looking down on the Afghans as Afghans are a never conquered race while you guys ......
You belong to a Pagan world that's why you perceived things on its appearance. It is all about Mercy of Allah to its special group of people who won't defy him and love him more than anything else.

Why cry over spilled milk. Concentrate on what you have and what you can do in the future. But since you opened a thread let me add - Bengalis were at the fore front of PAK movement. They sacrificed more than any other groups (nothing to brag about on part of bengalis as it was by the will of Allah (swt) and it does NOT make them superior to any other groups) and Jinnah also wanted Bengal in PAK. Jinnah even acceded to a independent Bengal but the Hindus and congress did NOT want that. Jinnah and the muslim league were NOT in a strong bargaining position vis-vis Congress and British establishment and they managed to salvage as much territory as they could from the yolk of Hindu India. Alhamdulillah for that.

It was the failure of the post-47 PAK establishment (which was largely dominated by a secular western oriented military) to forge a stable federation. The intellectually colonized West-PAK establishment went for a centralized unitary state out of paranoia that it would somehow otherwise break into pieces. It refused to give civilian administration through out the 50s and 60s a chance and did NOT allow Linguistic, cultural & administrative autonomy to the federated states. It was a symptom that most post-colonial muslim states suffered from - they took all the bad things from the west like - top down unitary state approach, secular penal code antithetical to native culture & society, forging & emphasizing a false identity of secular nationalism, completely copy pasting western educational model etc etc. But while people like Ayub Khan was busy aping Ataturk, the E.PAK higher institutions have been filled with hindus, Indian sympathetic anti-islamic commies and leftist who by then had done a superb job of grilling the brains of the up and coming BD/E.PAK youth with marxist ideas and instilling a sense of deprivation and ethnic nationalism. The result after that was as expected. Live with it.

Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal who passed away almost 10 years before Pakistan Came into being Said and i Quote.
I can see a Muslim country coming into being comprising of the provenances of Punjab, Bangal , Aasaam and North west Frontier."

Please at least learn history before initiating a useless debate ...

I think Jinnah should have negotiated with the British to include Kashmir in Pakistan more decisively and made that a corner stone of his demand. East pakistan ( Bangladesh) would have been his bargain chip to India. It would have appeased the hindus and the Bengalis would be where they should have stayed... part of Hindustan.... As most of them desire anyways.

The Kashmir would have been a viable option with a population inherently an integral part of us.

Just a thought....

We wouldn't have had the 1971 war with east pakistan breaking apart... we wouldn't have had a terror supporting India to our SOUTH causing trouble across the afghan border...

Win - win for the region.
You are suggesting Jinnah should have bargain a province which was the main base of muslim league, the only province where muslim league was in power before partition, largest muslim population, biggest and most revenue generating province of future Pakistan for a princely state?

British didn't gave Pakistan by seeing the heavenly face of Jinnah or reading the poem of Iqbal.Jinnah could manage to win Pakistan only because he had a strong backing of sub continental muslim. And where did those muslim lived more in numbers and supported Jinnah most strongly? If you think it was the place which is current Pakistan then you need some basic history lesson.
