Of course they should get bombers, they need to be able to defend themselves just like any other nation. Hopefully they dont have to use them, peace through strength. Is iran really allowing the US to operate in afganistan now? Weve never been told that "america is afriend of iran" I thought that was just obama and his cohorts going rogue when they delivered iran drone tech and us cash. I heard that alot of ied materials and concepts have come from iran. That dual shaped charge with garage door sensors to defeat our counter measures is pretty adaptive.

Really? I didn't know that. Other than China which got Tu-16, I don't think Russia ever exported strategic bombers outside USSR.

Russia is not and never has been an ally of iran,and it continually fvcking baffles me as to why people continue to claim this idiotic sh!t.
As far as iran was concerned,the one single area where the russians were ever reliable was in their near complete total and utter unreliability.If thats meant to be russias idea of an alliance,well then,its a remarkably piss poor one,and thats me being very generous.
At very best,russia and iran are sometime partners of mutual convenience,such as in syria for instance,but thats about it,and it certainly cant be considered as any kind of an "alliance".

The libyans and iraqis received small numbers of tu22 blinders in the 1970s,but because of their limited range they`d barely be considered "strategic",tho they could carry a fab 9000 bomb [9000kg]

Yes,but very,very strong in ballistic missiles,not to mention that the missile force is currently being upgraded with precision guided separating warheads as well,oh and not forgetting the big improvements in irans air defences also.
Lastly you have the utterly piss poor performance[I`m actually being very,very generous in only calling it piss poor] of the gulfie militaries in yemen,and yes that is including their air power of course.
