It has DSI,even the cockpit has DSI,even the pilot is a DSI pilot.

J-10B is a much newer design than Rafale. Rafale was designed in the 1980s. J-10B was designed in the 2000s and has DSI second jet that has DSI after JF-17.

The first version of the Rafale "Rafale A",(which just was a prototype/demonstrator) has nothing to do with the recent versions of the Rafale (B,C,M),use your brain superkid.
The best solution for India isn't to buy Rafales.... but is to buy J20 with DSI,and they odd better take Superkid as a pilot.

FGFA is PAK-FA. AMCA is at over a decade away. F-35 can be delivered within a few years.

it take years to sign deal and actually get the operating aircraft.specially for india who loves to stay in headlines like bollywood.

The US needs India as a buffer against the biggest super power China. To this end, the US should give F-35 to India just like the US gives F-35 to Israel.

FGFA is on its way and it will be FAR superior to the F-35, no need for the IAF to have the F-35, the IN is a seperate story....

The F-35 is hardly that desirable.

It is stated to be AESA. IMO similar to the one in F-16E Block 60.

India needs Tejas to counter JF-17, Rafale to counter J-10B, something to counter J-20. IMO Russia does not give top tech in FGFA because India pivots to the US with P-8I, Apache, Osprey etc.

DSI: no maintenance, it is part of the fuselage, not a separate system. Traditional intake is a separate system with parts inside. One could say DSI is not an intake because it is part of the fuselage.

DSI and traditional intake are fundamentally different. One is not an upgrade of the other.

You can see here that there is no gap between the intake and the rest of the fuselage.

Problem is Pakistan... who always prove that all of bharti army is posted on Pakistan borders, all of air bases are around Pakistan... which makes it difficult for US to justify strategic weapons transfer.
