What's new

Should conscription be made compulsory for Pakistani youth?

It doesn't mean that they are giving guns to people...they are just giving training to people...and i can tell there are plans in Pak army to give training to youth on large scale like it was given in Kp province .....

I didnt know that...its a good news to me, since I am really much concern over the Image of Army...especially after reading mira sethi's article of what she is trying there is visible...

i would opine, yes....if resources allow it

it's good for character building and uniting people of all backgrounds and regions into one. I would personally recommend it and have written about it after my experience in Turkiye where many of my friends -depending on economic and other position - did varying levels of training; or at least official desk-job ''administrative'' duties

otherwise, i would recommend that all Pakistani males and females be required (and enforced by local govt) to do at least 250 hours worth of community service...everything from picking up trash off the roads to working at local food kitchens set up for poor people; city beautification schemes; or even helping to set up clothing/food/medicine/etc. drives for poor people

this would be applied to every single citizen in Pakistan and be strictly enforced......

and it should also be mandatory for all children (boys AND girls) to attend school....no excuses. You cant afford it, then dont have children. Period. You disobey this rule, you would be met with harsh sanctions.

no buts, no ifs, no exceptions......no room for compromise

my ''dictum''

concentrate on the perception changing. I often feel Kiyani has to say this "pak fooj awam mein se hai" imagine if that can be changed to people saying "fooj awam mein se hai"

.

there is a saying of the prophet Muhammad saas "teach your children archery, swimming and horse riding"

Then there was nothing besides these!! Anyway today one must learn how to pick a lock; run a revolver; reload a pistol & some kungfu....+ Hafizing
