Should Bhagat Singh and Udham Singh be respected by pakistanis?

While they were fighting for the freedom of the entire sub-continent. But they were sikhs and probably would have been against the partition of sub-continent just like most hindus and sikhs.

Also sikhs and hindus killed around 500,000 to 1 million muslims in 1947. So honouring these sikhs as national heros and freedom fighters by pakistanis would be an insult to those million muslims who sacrificed their lives for Pakistan in 1947??

.
Only Hindus n sikhs killed million muslims?
What about about vice versa?
No muslim killed Hindus?

.
They were Bharti by soul, and if they survived to see the partition they would be severely against it; maybe even to the point of joining the Hindu and Sikh pogroms and start murdering little Muslim children and elderly people in revenge.

Besides, frankly speaking, they failed in their quest for freedom.

.
Those guys died long before the partition actually took place but you are right, they were nationalists who would have probably opposed any attempt at a partition. To claim that they had any hand in the blood shed(which took place on both sides btw) at the time of partition wouldn't be fair.

On another note, I would like to know how the Indian independence movement are thought at in Pakistani schools? Which personalities are mentioned? Apart from the usual Gandhi, Nehru, Jinnah, Vallabhbhai Patel, etc how about the other personalities like Bhagat Singh, Lokmanya Tilak, Subhashchandra Bose, Lala Lajpath Rai, etc? What about the 1857 war of Independence - Zafar Shah, Tatya Tope, Rani Lakshmi Bai, etc?

Bhagat singh and Udham singh were also fools. What did they die for anyway??
The British treated the sikhs far better than the post-1947 hindu-dominated India. Operation bluestar and after that the pogrom of sikhs in Delhi in 1984 even made Jallianwala bagh massacre look like a minor riot.

Another confused Pakistani and the reason of his confusion is known to us.

No one in India care what Pakistanis think about pre patrician freedom fighters, its up to Pakistanis if the value their forefather's struggle for freedom (If they did) or not.

In the meantime enjoy this.

you are already not respecting them. why to start a thread to discuss why not to respect them?

Oh and about the riots, it is documented that it was muslim Bengalis who started the riot on the East in the name of direct action day and muslim Punjabis who started it on the west. They were true followers of Ghauri and Ghaznavi.

You shouldn't be on this thread as you do not care.

Don't be obsessed with everything we do and believe in.

This is what you all have to say 'The Doctor of Nitpick' ? Go and learn the science of an argument before jumping into one.

Yeah cuz you're a shining example of proper argument etiquettes. So far it looks like you don't know your hand from your curry ***.

"death of one human is a tragedy.... hundreds is just a statistic"

Is that what your army tells you after killing hundreds of thousands of innocent Kashmiris?

.
They are respected by more than a billion indians .. They dont need any calculative respect ..

This is how I talk to losers, do a squat if you can. When your gang leader wasn't able to present an argument you all came to bully online and indirectly defending OP's bigotry. Sorry you have picked a wrong person.

Curry is Muslim innovation I hope you are munching the same in your shelter.

Kashmir is peaceful now. jobless "innocent" Punjabi junkies creeping from across the border have been put out of their misery.

curry is as Pakistani as Indian. dont make a joke out of yourself .

If Udham singh is respected by indians then satwant singh and beant singh are also equally worthy of respect.
There is no difference between Udham singh and the 2 sikh guards (Satwant singh and Beant singh) who killed Indira gandhi.
Udham singh killed O'Dwyer to avenge Jallianwala bagh massacre, and the 2 sikh guards commited the same act & killed Indira gandhi to take revenge for operation bluestar.
