Shop name advice

Hi guys,

So im opening a fishmonger shop in the Uk and was wondering your thoughts on the name of Daily fresh fish? Or if you have any suggestions will be selling fresh fish and frozen seafoods.

Any advice would be appreciated.

In my opinion a simple name should be enough. It doesn't really matter interms of marketing unless you are targeting a particular niche. It just shouldn't be offensive to anyone and should be easy to remember. And if you are not going nationwide, you shouldn't look for anything quirky. A simple name should do the job if you are just staying local. A couple of suggestions are:

1) _________ (Locality name) Seafood
2) VFM Seafood (Value for money seafood) [If you care more about customers and want to provide good value for money seafood instead of just going after money and only looking it as a business]

Something along those lines...

I would have went with that exactly locality name and seafood but someone along the high street has already done that so im looking for something a little different

How far are you located away from the competition? This makes things much harder, since there is already an established business, if it is already fulfilling demand in that area, it would be much harder to start a new business providing the same services there. I would still go for the second recommendation of the name and try to live up to that name. Because that way competition or no competition, since I giving the best value than consumers should choose me. Unless there is two much demand and both of you can survive in that particular area.

I assume that you already know the area and its people(if not than you should at-least do a quick survey), so in my opinion you should name it something that resonates with people living around in that area. It would be much better name since they are your customers not the people on Pdf. So anything named here, though might sound good to us or you, it won't be resonating with the customers living in that area.

Completely agree. I know the area very well. And the customer base. we are quit a fair distance from the competition the high street is quite big so they are on the other side
