Shocking video of racist attack on Africans in India

In a video, an African man is seen kicked, punched and beaten with dustbins at a mall in UP's Noida.

NEW DELHI: In a disturbing video that has emerged amid rash of racist attacks on Africans in Greater Noida near Delhi, a man is kicked, punched and beaten with steel dustbins by a large group at a mall.

The footage, apparently filmed on a mobile phone at the Ansal Plaza in Greater Noida, has been shared on WhatsApp by the Association of African Students in India.

A black man is seen curled up on the floor, trying to block with his arms the repeated blows from the mob, which thrashes him with stools, bins and whatever the attackers can grab hold of. No one tries to help the man or stop the attack that appears to take place in the middle of the mall's ground level. The video was apparently taken from a hidden point on the first floor.

After at least three reported incidents targeting African nationals, senior police officer Dharmendra Kumar told NDTV that security has been provided at hostels and colleges. Many African students study in universities in Greater Noida, a township right next door to the capital.


On Monday, three Nigerian students were attacked by a mob of around 100 in the area. A student pleaded with Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj in a tweet asking her to "act fast", saying that living in Noida was becoming a "life-threatening issue".

A class 12 student died of Drug overdose. So the anger against Nigerians suspected/accused of selling drugs. They survived in India elsewhere they would have been lynched. Anyways mob justice is not acceptable hopefully the Govt. catches the culprits and also sensitize the people against taking law into their own hands.

Inhuman and why this destruction just because the victim is from a different religion. In fact there will be many representing victims as culprits. I never thought humans could have such thinking.

We Indians are racist , no 2 ways about it.
Mob attacks are becoming regular because of weak policing and justice systems.
Blacks and orientals are looked down upon , while whites are revered .
A complete overhaul of police mentallity is overdue.
Punish a few law breakers promptly and it will act as deterrance.

These are local issues, they thought killing and burning innocent Hindus in a train will have no repercussions. So the riots. About 40% of the dead were Hindus in the riots, of course at the hands of peacefuls.

Some kids from Africa nations stay at our apartment complex.. some of them are good.. some are really a nuisance.. from smoking in community Lifts, to throwing empty beer bottles in parks where kids are playing...to drugs to loud music in the dead of the night... all these people are up to at times creates such reaction.. and who knows what happened before crowd attacked them.. there is an act and then there is instigation... everybody wants to record the act and not the instigation.

I dont put it in the category of Racism its a flawed feeling of Supremacy against weak or vulnerable. And this supremacist culture is all visible like the recent episode of Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover.
We are nation which is upgrading just imagine PM, CM of Haryana, CM of UP and CM of MP etc. are not from age old political families but people who rose through the ranks. I am hopeful.

Maybe somebody suspected them of selling drugs to kids, after the death of 12th class student due to drug overdose. We are a country of more than a billion people and such incidents which can be counted in single digits speak volumes about our country.

Mostly Nigerians are indulged in drugs business here in India. But I condemn this attack as people should not take law in their hands. If this Nigerian was selling drugs in the campus then should have filed a complaint in police station instead of taking law in hands
