Shocking video: Gang of influential landlords make Muzaffargarh teenagers eat his shoes

MUZAFFARGARH: A shocking video of a youth being thrashed by a group of influential youths in South Punjab’s district Muzaffargarh was released on Wednesday.

The video shows the young man being forced to apologize to local landlords with his shoes in his mouth People around him are seen smiling and hurling abuses in Saraiki language.

The incident took place in Sanawan Town of South Punjab last week. The act of violence was openly recorded by someone present at the spot and later parts of it were leaked.

The identity of the victim has not been ascertained so far.

According to Facebook page Jampur News, the punishment was handed out to the victim after the group’s decision to ban him from passing through a particular street.

A case has been registered in connection to the incident.

An eyewitness said that the prime accused in the case has been identified as Hamza and taken into custody.

South Punjab is considered to be one of the most deprived areas of the country where the feudal lords – with titles like Makhdoom, Sardar and Sajada Nasheens – have retained an iron grip on power since even before partition and human rights violations are common. Millions of people live below the poverty line in this region.

Charge Hamza with the crime as video evidence is more than enough to get a conviction, sell his family belongings and give all the money to victim, I doubt that's going to happen as Rana Sanaullah Khan Punjab law minister is well known in these areas as patron saint of thugs and thieves.
