Cant compare Punjab to Kashmir really...
1)Unlike Punjab, terrorism spread like a cancer in kashmir.
2)The jihadis had managed to create enough fear in the minds of KPs with the brutal killings.
3) the sikh movement was never unified unlike in Kashmir where the enemy is just one,and has been the source of all terror in the state.
4)President's Rule was imposed in Punjab in October 1983 and it remained in effect until February 1992 with the brief exception of the period from September 1985 to May 1987. This was one of the reasons the chaos of Punjab could be curbed.I am wondering why central govt. doesn't consider this option.
5) Deputation of somebody like Gill was never considered in Kashmir.

Nonetheless government has learnt its lessons.And the situation in Kashmir is improving.

In the end it is a failure of RAW and other organisation to keep the Kashmiris nationalists(pro Indian). Where as in East Pakistan nationalism was a sharp sword irrespective of religion.

Yes the stories that we hear are enough to pain us ,imagine the plight of those who had to go through it and have been living the pain daily.

I guess to some mind midgets its all about being superior,if not anything else it just shows the kind of inferiority complex they harbor within themselves.

Somehow in India army & RAW dont have the kind of grip on politicians like the Pak Army or more specifically ISI has in Pak.
If at all i had to blame somebody I would blame the politicians.

Kashmiri pandits didnt retort to terrorism,they didnt reply back to fanaticism with fanaticism.And others must know the kasmiri pandits stories.

For a reality dose, one just need to go to Delhi Pandit colony. Jammu was far better. The place too depressing.
