Dude my friend who is a traffic cop has an apartment the same size right near Islamia University, Baghdad campus in Bahawalpur.

I thought it was small too.

Also he had small bathroom connected. That's it.

The folks will be lining up for government subsidised housing. They will have to wait in line at the moment and the govenment has to speed up building the low cost housings!

Do you have the same facilities in pakistan?

Thank goodness! We have no bombs; not even fire crackers in HK, China!

Yes, they can. Indians can also buy property and live in China. I have one Indian friend he purchased 5 apartments for investment.

You shouldn't get so upset, I've seen apartments this small in my city in Pakistan.

why should I feel upset! I have pity on those who mock on HK's poor while their own poor are on brinks of life and death every day!

The people that are mocking are stupid.

I'm sure they would consider this room heaven if they were on streets with no shelter.

We need more people like you and people must have a clear head to know this is an USA propaganda used to alleviate their own poor's growing grievance over their massive budget cuts!

China is better than many other countries that are dealing with poverty.

Do you see the photo of the kids sleeping on the bed??

Do you see the school bag?

I'm sure they will be changing their socio-economic situation via education and uplifting themselves out of poverty as they grow up.

That picture was very heart warming for me, because my father used to tell me stories of his childhood and how my grandmother wouldn't eat so that her seven children could.

They were tough times, but my father got an education, then joined Pakistani Airforce. Worked very hard and uplifted our family out of poverty.

Could be worse, atleast they have a roof on their head. Hong Kong is very costly city.

go and search for more information, dude. it is very cheap. i have many friends living there, if a cleaner like to save money, they can afford it.
I took the info from a report showed on German TV, no offence.

China still has about 150 million poor. We are not happy about that. I hate more about the corruption in my country which leeches out of the blood of the poor.

I am delighted to hear your story! I like Pakistanis and you are our Brothers!

Even in America there is poverty.

And I don't think corruption in China compares to corruption in Pakistan. We have it a lot worse. :D

What is this Gambit? Socialists, communists rubbing off on you a bit?

These are the fundamental driving points behind people who argue for equality, level playing fields... dare I say it... Equal distribution of wealth!
Just because I understand those driving points does not mean I agree and approve of them being the basis for a socialist/communist society.

Do I feel any shame in living in such a home? Absolutely not. When the builders constructed my house, they did not rob materials and space from anyone in China, India, or Africa.

Do I feel any shame in eating dry aged prime rib steaks a couple times a week? Absolutely not. Those are American cattle fed/raised by American ranchers on American soil, and they did not rob anyone anywhere in the world of their livestock.

The demand for equal distribution of wealth is based on petty jealousy. I have no problems with anyone laboring just enough to get by. But if that person demands that I allow him the freedom to labor just enough to get by with the bare minimum necessities for HIS life, then it is only fair that he understand that I have the equal right to labor harder than him so I live in ways that I see fit for MY life.

There is life in general, then there is MY life and YOUR life. To date, there are only two successful communist/dictatorship societies: The Family and The Monastery.

In The Family, there is an absolute need for a benevolent dictatorship -- the parents -- because children are too physically and intellectually weak to fend for themselves. They do not contribute equally, therefore they do not share equal distribution of wealth. This is what the Soviet Union and China tried to do with The Communist Party being that benevolent parent/dictator. We know what a disaster that experiment was.

In The Monastery, we have the ideals that Marx was pining for where vows of poverty are VOLUNTARY and the needs of others override one's own. Basically, if everyone look out for his fellow man, then no one would be neglected. But this self sacrificial attitude must be internally compelled and can never be externally forced.

If I want for MY life items A, B, and C, that is my burden to earn, while if you want for YOUR life items X, Y, and Z, that is your burden to earn. This is something that communists have a difficult time accepting or even understanding. The more hypocritical ones among them uses Marxism to enrich themselves at the expense of his fellow men. Look at how communist leaders always live in those supposedly "worker's paradise", larger homes, fancier cars, and the best capital of all, political capital. The result is that those leaders live in Western derived luxuries while their citizens struggles to get even poor toilet paper.

The greatest evil inflicted upon modern mankind is communism (not Marxism) and the greatest hypocrite to date is the communist.

I never jump to the forum and mock about poverty in USA even knowing how bizarre the usa's behaviour is on the rest of the world.

We are not doing just enough on our corrupt officials. I dont want to compare which country is worse than us. We dont like grafts in China which stifle everything.

I wish Pakistan the best and we should grow positively together!

More opportunities will come with development of Gwadar my friend. :pakistan::china:
