Shoaib Mansoor Latest Movie: Bol - Atif Aslam

Oh well, I just learned that Atif Aslam is performing in forthcoming movie of Shoaib Mansoor called "Bol"

I really liked its Trailer and it is supposed to be released in January. Any review?

l (Urdu: بول, English: Say) is an upcoming Urdu film written, directed and produced by Shoaib Mansoor. This Urdu feature film is expected to release in January 2011.[1] The film stars Atif Aslam[2], Humaima Abbasi[3] Mahira Khan, Shafqat Cheema, Manzar Sehbai and Zaib Rehman in the lead roles.[4] According to Atif Aslam, "The film is about Sunnis and Shias".

Atif Aslam, who features in the film as a doctor, in an interview stated, "I have done two songs for the soundtrack. It’s been a great experience working with Shoaib Mansoor, he is an amazing person and very dedicated. The film is about Sunnis and Shias. My role isn’t controversial and we discussed it beforehand. It’s a film that is being made for a good cause".[1] The film was reviewed by the Central Board of Film Censors in Lahore on 8 November 2010, and received its approval the next day.[5]

If i rightly remember, movie is about women rights in Pakistan. Knowing Shoaib Mansoor, it's going to be controversial for sure.
Website of this movie is not opening up. Now only "Coming soon" is written. Anyway, best of luck to Shoaib Mansoor and his team. Looking forward to this movie.

shoaib mansoor is the stevien spielberg of Pakistan.But his concept of integrating music and religion bothers me.He was very shocked when Junaid Jamshed left the music .I think that struck him big time.

The most intense women rights problem in Pakistan to me is Karokari.
I do not understand why people wants to see every thing in the same mold.A girl in burqa why should ending up in doing music.But I will also at he same time encourage the art and talent of director even if i strongly disagree with the concept.

I think Atif Aslam will be a singer in the movie and it will raise another controversial issues in the movie. Atif won't be the leading actor neither Iman Ali.

Thats what I am presuming... by the way "bol = speak/words"

By looking at the scenes and background where they shot it, it's gonna be another Alpha Bravo Charlie type. Show the controversial issues, yet show the bright side of Pakistan. The wonderful rural areas, the modern City complexes and how the people have come to interact with it.

Waiting for it to release in January, cuz inshallah i will be home for break then.
