Shiv Sena renews attack on Pakistan cricketers

No he's advocated the killing of Muslims in india and also advocated the burning of non marathi anything in your bombay

HS is not ethnocentric. Yeah he hates the indian state but only b/c of its genocide of Kashmiris/Muslims not to mention the fact that members of his own family were massacred by hindu mobs so that for him is a bone of contention

i dont recall seeing HS advocating the killing of indian poets, journos or athletes (not that we have any of the latter) in our beloved country

again - moot point i suppose since thacker-thigh is 6 feet under now

Lol, Not really, Many muslims also supports him also, He is AKA like Altaf Husian, when he was in Jail in UK entire Karachi is shud down, He is local and in Mumbai only he take local issues.

Unlike HF , who is do other thing......So comparing BT vs HF is like comparing car and plane.

The RSS is not a political organisation, the BJP is. I don't know whether the RSS is "on a rise" or not, but I can say the BJP is currently facing "interesting times."

My country is secular in that its constitution provides enough room for every religion to flourish. Does extremism exist in Indian society, yes it does. Is it dominant, NO.

In my country, people vote whichever party they feel is going to do the most for them. Shiv Sena was voted out of power because the majority of the voters did not feel they did a great job for them. In some states, the BJP is currently governing; in some states the BJP is in the opposition. In some states the BJP is virtually non-existent. The number of political parties in my country is in thousands, and most of them do not hold sway beyond local elections. Mind you democracy is not just about electing the national government; it is also about electing local and state/provincial leaders. Every political party in India will make such statements (throw them out, kill them, traitors, etc) some time or the other to amass short-term political gains. You think the Congress or other parties are any different? You think only the Muslims are at the receiving end of this banter? You think Hindus (upper caste / lower caste) do not have to face the same rhetoric? For that matter, the Sikhs, Christians, etc. don't? Every "group" does. Moreover, if it’s not on the basis of religion, then it is on the basis of caste, on the basis of language, on the basis of appearance, on the basis of family name. You are right in your observation that segregationism exists in India, but what you entirely fail to grasp is that my country, increasingly, is seeing development as the yardstick by which politicians, regardless of their views, are being measured. Does segregation exists is the minds of some of my countrymen? Yes, but then there are plenty who do not give a hoot about such discrimination. And you know what; the later kind is becoming larger in number. That is what the BJP has realised and that is why it is adapting and changing itself. This statement does not mean that the BJP or other parties which according to you are anti-Islam are "pure," it means that changes are happening. Same goes for every other political party. As far as the Shiv Sena is concerned, its losses in elections speak for themselves.

What really bothers me most is that why are members in this forum overly concerned about the lives of my countrymen? As much as I'm glad, why is the concern so narrow and reeking of prejudice and opportunism? If I’m not wrong, your country has pretty urgent matters on its hands, why not focus therein? Further, do I quote every line from some two-bit politician who segregates on the basis of religion or nationality, and then pass it on as the "Face of Pakistan?" Then why is it that my country is subjected to it? We claim and aim to be secular and we are trying hard to get there. We are not there yet, and once there, we’ll have to struggle to keep it that way. Democracy, equality, liberty, justice, secularism, etc. are not static; these forces are dynamic and require constant efforts to maintain. Why do some of the people in this forum believe that one man’s opinion is what a nation of 1Bn+ thinks?

Why generalize that "Indians have the cheeks to call only the Muslims as extremists?" Further, to add insult to injury, place a smiley there as a crude joke.

By the way, there are plenty of Indians who are Muslims too.
My country is secular in that its constitution provides enough room for every religion to flourish. Does extremism exist in Indian society, yes it does. Is it dominant, NO.
What is your opinion now............?????????

You have your Hafiz Saeeds and we have the likes of the Thackerays. Score? One-all!

It takes all types to make this world. All are not saints. So what's the big deal? Just ignore these buggers to keep your blood pressure in check!
Hafiz Saeed is individual..but Modi is prime minister who is trained from RSS......
This is the difference.
