Thats a very isolationist view. ISIS is a serious threat to our way of living and should be nipped in the bud. As fence sitters on international politics, we will never intervene directly to crush this mess .So volunteers are more than welcome.

Our darling neighbour's fate should serve as sufficient warning about what happens when civilians who have not gone through the rigorous discipline of professional military training are allowed to form militias or parrticipate in armed conflicts. ISIS surely is evil, but sending our civilians over there is completely undesirable. Only the arms of the state should have the right to use of force other than in self defence, not "non state actors".

Yup that is actually the law that made terrorism an offence, and actually defined what terrorism was. As of now being a member of a terror group/militant group is not by itself a crime....strange stuff.

I think TADA had something similar, but then a supreme court ruling ruled that being a part of a terrorist group is not an offence...

that is the main point... these volunteers went to iraq to defend bloody mosques... they didn't go there to defend humans... if you go through website of raza academy ( bombay ), another mullah organization, they had announced a similar thing during the 1990 western invasion of iraq... call for 300,000 volunteers to defend mosques and shrines... not to help saddam hussain's army in repelling western forces.

It might be a too far fetched idea but I am totally against such volunteers especially if they are being sent without any knowledge to the central govt.
