@al-Hasani Mashallah brother that is one of the most beautiful mosque i've ever seen.
every mosque is a house of Allah n we go there to stand in-front of him and only him.
may Allah bless us in this holy month of Ramadan.
الله أكرم
You are very much welcome 7abibi. I also love the small and simple mosques that are located on isolated spots. If not more. Plenty of those in KSA and Yemen in the mountain areas and elsewhere. From my understanding then the same is the case in Pakistan.
What makes the Saleh Mosque great is that it is located in Sana'a with an amazing view over the entire ancient city and the unique Yemeni architecture and the view over the mountains.
The mosque itself just as the city of Sana'a is located 2250 meters above sea level which makes the climate really enjoyable all year around.
But to be honest then the money should rather be used on the people and not just architecture. Yemen is not KSA, UAE, Iraq, Iran or Qatar in terms of natural resources.
Yemen is a poor country economically but a very rich country in terms of history, culture, traditions, beauty of its landscapes, nature, warmth of the people etc. Also very welcoming. We have hosted many immigrants from the Horn of Africa, Iraq, Palestine etc. throughout history despite not having much ourselves in terms of economical riches. Which is really a thing that I admire greatly about my mother's country among the hundred of other things.
