Shehbaz Sharif and his special plane

RAWALPINDI, June 3: Chief minister-designate of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif met some senior military officials at Chaklala Garrison on Monday night. Sources said Mr Sharif reached the Chaklala Garrison at about 8pm.

He discussed with the army officials issues relating to security.

He left for Lahore in his special plane at 9.30pm.

Maj Gen Asim Saleem Bajwa, spokesman for the Inter-Services Public Relations, refused to comment on the matter.

However, a source in the military confirmed Mr Sharif’s visit to the garrison and said the PML-N leader had actually gone there to condole with Quarter Master General Lt Gen Sajjad Ghani over the death of his mother.



Now the question is,,, Special plane means it's government owned and in which capacity Shehbaz shairf used a government property? and was offering condolences government business which required the use of government property?

Living in a country called Pakistan, It is much economical and feasible to use a jet to move around. Saves you tons of man force, and money. Private jets owned by Pak govt are allocated special quota every year for dignitaries, PM, President, other high profile officials to travel. Therefore when CM travels in a private jet, the billing has already been paid for. Whereas, if he decides to go to Islamabad by road from lahore. He will be spending thousands of dollars on security plus the trip was never a part of money that was allocated in the budget for high profile officials travel.

Dalton McGuinty has used militarys helicopter and prime ministers special airplane to move around. Good thing, he isn't a premier anymore and I am not sure about the new premier. But traveling by plane isn't bad at all. It saves time, man force and money
