ISLAMABAD : Leaders of opposition parties met on Tuesday in a moot presided by Opposition leader Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad.

Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari, party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Khursheed Shah, Naveed Qamar and Sherry Rehman were in attendance

From the PML-N, Rana Tanveer, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Ahsan Iqbal, Rana Sanaullah, Senator Pervaiz Rasheed attended the meeting as the two main opposition parties sat down for a rare meeting.

During the meeting, issues pertaining to the current political situation in the country, extension in tenure of military courts and strategy of the opposition were discussed.

Structural reforms to continue despite ‘anti-govt propaganda’: PM

Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal’s (MMA) Parliamentary leader Maulana Asad Mahmood, Maulana Wasay and Awami National Party’s Ameer Haider Hoti also attended the meeting.

The opposition on Monday had walked out of the National Assembly’s session after raising questions over the contract and bidding process of Mohmand dam, which has become a controversial issue for the government after the contract was awarded to a close aide of the prime minister.

Humm it seems PMLN playing cards for PPP and PPP playing cards for PMLN. They both have nothing to do with the interest of Pakistan and the citizens of Pakistan. They do politics to gain their hold on institutions for their own benefits.

Descon has nothing to do with IK. Daowed resigned before joining a federal Govt. Descon tender given by N Govt not current so its useless accusations already cleared by SC where G for Garida grilled.

Yes and that's the point if only Descon and Chinese company were there for bidding so obviously tender is awarded to that company.. Even wapda has no issue with Chinese company and descon.

Just listen to the chairman of wapda.

It is clearly a political move by opposition against the construction of dam.. How long we can tolerate such conspiracy against dams? I think When whole country will become a desert may be when we realize the devil ideology of N & Pee.

Further more opposition is planing very dangerous game to target institutions.

In Peshawar Millions have been lost under BRT Project initiated under IK Government. Bro, its a One Man Show. I have never polled vote to any political party and I have remained apolitical until now, but the future looks very bleak indeed.
In Pakistan, its fairly easy to do every illegal activity and its tiresome to do things on legal lines/patterns, its a sad reality unfortunately!

the problem is if someone is serious and fair in doing some good effort, has to cross some lines in the corrupt system which is such a tragedy.

All are incapable of saving Pakistan whether opposition or govt whole system needs to be changed .Pakistan will never develop and prosper with current system of governance establishment needs to wake up before it is too late.ppp and pmln are corrupt pti lacks vision and capability to rule country in effective manner.

Even though I am having a lot of disagreements with the pti government, I still believe the opposition failed Pakistan and have no right to rule Pakistan again. They failed to deal with corruption and instead it increased. They failed to make the institutes strong and instead destroyed them. If you have a corrupt state then it has no future. I am taking about corruption that is eating the state, sucking it's blood.

We have to give 5 years to PTI government. After that if a new opposition arrives then vote for them but ignore the old political class, let them make noises.

I know pti looks immature to rule Pakistan but they will learn as the years go by and will improve next year and then keep on getting stronger.
