Lemme share a story with all of you lads!!!

It happened in 2004. I was walking on my way to work .
A car pulled up beside me in a , in it 2 Irish travellers , They offered me to buy a laptop off them.
Then they opened a laptop bag , and it was a brand new Sony Vaio !! Viola I said , Inquired How much it was and a deal was struck . (I figured it that they are travellers , and its a nice machine , So chances are thry robbed it )
I had no money `unluckily` I had my bank card on me and I told them I will just be back in a moment as I have to withdraw the money from the ATM meachine cross the road.
I withdrew the money adn went back to them , while they waited in their car. I asked them to show me the Laptop one more time in the bag. They showed it to me. Then as I was about to give them my hard earned money one of them asked me if I want to buy a handycam too!! I asked it was 150 € so i promptly said No! Fair enough they said and the money and the bag exchanged hands. Before I left they said me not to take a busy road to where ever I was going (as they wanted me to know they took the laptop illegally from somwhere.) I was a happy fcuking camper!!!
Went to work , called the colleagues aside ,and told them about the `deal of the month` I just made..
Opened the bag .. guess what I found?
2 bottles of milk.
That was hte most expansive super - milk I ever drank. ?
Cost of it - - - 300 € !!!

(So they change the bag when One of them made me look at their handycam)!! Loosers!! Nodoubt No one like Travellers.

Hindustan meh kya naya aya hai?

You have been fooled son.

----------

It's disgusting at what extent beggars go to, to get money. Many people in South Asia cut off or break their children's arms, legs just so they can beg.

Be aware, begger mafias have been established EVERYWHERE.

. .
Another Scenario: we all buy and sell online now a days, in Pakistan what we do is when the deal is done on the phone, location is set to buy the product. usually people ask to come by some shop or public place, but still frauds happen, better be careful...

example: at dais pardais in saidpur village, islamabad, some dude pretended to be owner of the hotel and took the Iphone of some student and slipped away...

.
anyone remembers ranvir shorey's character from 'traffic signal' ? that film had quite a few interesting and realistic characters.

.
in london the bosnian kids are trained that way, they are so beautiful that you just cannot say no to them... but they are ofcourse begging, and UK takes $$$$$$ in the name of supporting refugees.....huh !!!

.
i help one lady from nasik she did not have bus money so i gave her ,my friends where telling me not to but i said its not much and if she is really in need then its good.she will atleast reach home safely.

I have fallen for similar scam in India. It involves a husband, wife and a child. They seem to be maharastrian
The opening line always is 'do you know hindi'.
me - yes
him - We came to this city for <some very good reason that invokes sympathy>. But dont have any money to pay as bus fair because money was lost/stolen/spent in hospital..
me - okey here is <more than I give to beggars>
him - How is this enough for bus fair. We came from very far place.
me - okey take some more money
him - thanks

The wife and child are part of the elaborate plot.

I am not saying dont give money if somebody asks you, its better to err on good side.

I never give money to professional beggars too(okey sometimes give to old women). But gave money to hijras in train nearly half the time. :)

.
I have never given a penny to any beggar...they are all professional beggars.... I dont buy their fake stories... the latest one is that a normal looking person would come up to you near a bus stop and say that he is from xyz place and wants to go back and is short of 5-10 rs, kindly help and you give away... but its a trick too... be careful...

Yes I do buy if they are selling something and not begging, yes if someone asks me to buy him any food item, that I buy them, but thats tricky too, because what they do is have a setting with the shop keeper they point at when they ask you to buy something but when you buy them off, they return the things and take their share of money from the shop keeper. hence make a fool out of you...

@Leader I in honesty do not understand how you can consider that being made a fool? You would have given them food yet they want money...You bought them the food, end of case on your part...Its up to them if they cash it in or what not...

This thread reminds me of a case in Islamabad. A gang of car lifters "car jackers" used a very ingenious method of depriving people of their cars. Here is the narration of one man recalling what happened to him at a Police Station.

Victim - So it was about 7pm and i was driving back home from work, when near the faizabad chowk i saw an elderly man who gestured for a lift. The man was old and frail looking clothed in a dusty shalwar kameez with a shawl wrapped to protect him from the bitter winter cold.

Victim - i pulled up past him and gestured the man to come in the car, i inquired where he was going. And the man said, you are too kind young man, just drive me to the wagon stand about 5 km away. The victim was happy to oblige and off they went. They got talking and he noticed the man was very old and had a very unusual long white beard.

Victim - About 5 mins into the journey, he saw two women on the road clad in duppatas and asked the old man. Baba Jee, do you mind if we pick up these women? It is very late and god knows what would happen to them in such a place. The Old man replied, beta it's your car, i have no objection.

Victim - "I pulled up to the two woman" and asked them if they would like a lift, they were reluctant at first but i explained that i was giving the old man a lift and would be happy to drop them near the adda (wagon stop). At this they agreed and got in the back of my car.

Victim - " I again started talking to the old babba, however i noticed the women got more and more concerned." Puzzled, i turned to them and asked, "why are you so worried sisters, what is the matter", the older woman replied... Are you okay bahi, you seem to be talking to yourself!

Victim - I was even more puzzled at this point, and i said to the woman, what are you talking about? I am talking to baba jee sitting next to me. Baba Jee say something. Both the women remained quiet and displayed shock.

Victim - I again asked the baba to say something to the women, at which the baba replied. Don't panic my son, but they cannot see me, nor can they hear me.... Worried the victim said "WHAT"?!, the baba continued by saying, i am Arc Angel Israel and i am here to claim your soul... Do not be alarmed!

Victim - I was very confused and scared and i asked the baba, this is a joke, and if you are the Angel Israel then why can't you take my life right now, and how can i believe you are the angel Israel? The baba said , have you ever seen an angel? Okay test me, your time is written, it is written then when you drive over that bridge i will take your soul...

Victim - I panicked, and quickly stopped the car and jumped out, running screaming into a field. I ran as fast as my legs could carry me, a few moments later some locals saw me and stopped me and said, what ever is the matter? Why are you running and screaming like this...

Victim - I begged them to let me go and told them that the Arc Angel Israel is after me to take my soul, they were equally as confused and said... Come show us where you saw the angel, so reluctantly i took them to where i had stopped my car and when we got there the car was gone, and on the ground lay a fake beard, the shawl and duppatas of the women....

Moral of the story, this world is full of shitty people!
