What's new

Sharks are now "functionally extinct" from reefs. That's bad news for our oceans

.
There's actually alot more shark attacks in Australia and other parts of the world than what is being reported. Reef sharks may be declining but great White Sharks are increasing. These are dangerous creatures, a freak of nature that should have been extinct long ago.

.
maybe they're needed to maintain healthy oceans though.. i doubt biologists to be liars when they try to get western newspaper headlines..

I read somewhere or saw some documentary that said in Australia over 300 swimmers / beach goers go missing each year. The government dismissed them as drowned in the water. Some of the swimmers may have drowned but most likely they were probably attacked by Sharks. They can't report this because it be bad for business if they reported 200 fatal attacks per year.
