What's new

Shanties of those who vandalised apartments razed in Noida

'Was' an independent country, they ceased to be an independent state when we liberated them.. You can claim Canada or Australia all I care. The fact is these people are rebels to us, do you like us to harbor some NEs rebels?

Yeah so, you agree that Tibet unlawfully invaded as a part of your 'cultural revolution'? So who's the aggressor here then?

India conducted internationally recognised independent referendums when it merged territory of Junagadh, Hyderabad, Goa and Sikkim into the federation after its' independence.

Also, India had no choice but to grant Dalai Lama a refuge when China started arming Pakistan against India. India was one of the first countries to recognise PRC over ROC and 'One China' but, China never returned the favour when it came to Kashmir.

You can't fault PRC for that. Just because India makes a stupid move does not mean the other nations should follow suit.

It's not about making a stupid move. It's about showing a good will and showing that there's no bad faith on our part.

Can't fault them here either. They saw the weakness in Tibet, and the advantages in taking it for strategic reasons. While the Indian Command bickered, they marched in.

Yeah, that is the definition of a stupid move in diplomacy. Faith, good will. Stupidity.

This was newly independent socialist India of 1950s-60s headed by Nehru still looking for world approval.

Plus, it was never an Indian plan to annex Tibet. We simply wanted it to serve as a buffer between India and China.

It is only a stupidity because the other side didn't reciprocate but, these are the chances you have to take in diplomacy. Carrot and stick. Recognising PRC was our carrot and allowing Dalai Lama to establish the base was our stick.

This was India before your Islamic Heros aka Rapists, looter and mass murders landed in India.
India as a country did not exist before 1947 the land that make up Indian now were different countries and kingdoms at different periods of time

Yes they are and they Indian tender loving care.
LOL - Whatever that means in Cantonese, I am still sure it is gibberish.

I
Indians as a country have decided they will accept racism and communalism as their new mantra.

They will accept persecuted minorities only if they are Hindus. This is the mark of a bigot.

Since they are bigots, Americans should take away work from bigots because bigotry is officially against the US constitution.

You lose this time - Sabu.

LOL - No, you do realize the persecuted minorities we accept from China are Buddhists. From Pakistan are both Hindus and Sikhs. America is a free market economy - they will do whatever is in their best interests. You lose every time - Banglaboy.

This neighborhood is considered a middle class apartment complex in Dhaka.:lol:

My God - packed in like sardines in tiny apartments. No civic facilities, no green belt, no hiking trails, no playground.

Yeah I know the height of luxury....a pinnacle for who grew up as renters in govt. flats.....:sarcastic::sarcastic:

Have you no shame Billu? You LDC oompa loompas pole vault to even Afghanistan to do menial jobs and you have the audacity to brag!! Noida is no less than a Sweden or Denmark for you people.

Arming Pakistan? You were giving refuge to Dalai Lama even before we got close to Pakistan. This is what I call Indian double speak. Cultural revolution happened in 1966, do you even know history, we liberated Tibet in 1950s. Any third party observers in those referendums? Anybody can conduct a fake referendum ok.

1 cr apartment in Delhi does not buy you anything more. :disagree:

Not to sound rude, but the design and decor looks like some medium cost housing by Chinese standards, I bet you have never seen luxurious Chinese apartments.

LOL...it is a medium cost housing by Delhi standards too

Showing me Images of Noida apts. Doesnt impress me. It might impress Kanjoosi folk.

A few expensive apts. in a sh*tty third world hovel doesn't elevate it to first world status. Thank your stars and US generosity that you can make a few H1B dollars to afford these apts. Majority of Dhaka luxury apts. Cost over one crore Indian Rupees. @Species isnt this the case?

I have no idea what he is trying to prove with those ugly buildings, looks like some 4th-grade government quarters. Is it really the best of Moida or whatever the city is called?

He's an actor but from our B-grade movie industry, their works are mainly produced targeting rickshawalas, laborers, and Indians. Hero Alam has become a household name in India now and quite a popular face there.

For the common Bangladeshi audience, we have the mainstream media which produces contents like below,

Lol, quite rich coming from someone who lives in world's 2nd worst city Dhaka....

Greater Noida is way ahead of your hellhole swamp in infrastructure, projects as well as livability. Yeah, I did google 'Dhaka downtown' & the results literally shocked me.. :)

And Noida is having it's own metro rail project, which would be ready in 1 year, that is less than 3 years from the start of construction. Compare that to Dhaka which has remained on paper for almost a decade....

( BTW, now I expect Bilal to jump in, claiming that having a modern high capacity metro rail system is not important :-) )

Anyway, just a glimpse of projects happening there...
