How is the exporting of maids, rampant sex industry, huge slums figure into all this.

And who ever categorize India as a newly industrialized country must be drunk. India barely has any industry and its still very poor and backward. Its still a bona fide 3rd world crap hole.



Philippines can grow a little now because of years of neglect and mismanagement. Also, the remittance has been doing well. As well as the Philippine style tourist industry.

OFW'S are NOT JUST MAIDS. They are also

DOCTORS

DENTISTS

NURSES

ENGINEERS

SEAMEN

I.T. Professionals

and MANY HIGHLY EDUCATED people.

There are MORE POORER Countries than the Philippines, but why do they prefer FILIPINO MAIDS?

Because

FILIPINOS SPEAK, READ, and RIGHT Good ENGLISH.

Filipinos CAN FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS on Manuals, Books, Signs etc.

They don't have to teach FILIPINOS how to UNDERSTAND ENGLISH.

From DOCTORS to ENGINEERS to MAIDS to Factory workers.

Everyone UNDERSTANDS ENGLISH.

Filipinos are REGARDED as one of the MOST SKILLED and PROFICIENT people in the world.

So stop BRAGGING only about MAIDS.

FILIPINO OFW MAIDS represent less than 0.01% of the Philippine Population.

Even if you pull out all MAIDS in HK, Macau, and CHINA, I will guarantee your, it will not affect the Philippine Economy.

To imply the Philippine to replicate shanghai growth is saying Philippine wil grow at double digits for the next 20 years, which is highly unlikely.

Yes SHANGHAI is only a CITY. A major CITY of the THIRD LARGEST COUNTRY and the MOST POPULOUS Country. Would you EXPECT a LOW GDP? Use your common sense please. The Philippines is the 73rd largest country by area.

It doesn't matter RIGHT NOW if CHINA would recognize the RULING or NOT(the US, NATO, and the "ASIA-PACIFIC NATO" will take care of that later)

What matters is to KNOW who really has the LEGAL BASIS.

Fortunately, the CASE pushed through without CHINA'S CONSENT.

Recent Sino Summits Fail on South China Sea

Chinese diplomats have been trying to marshal support for their nation’s expansive claims to the South China Sea, but at two recent summits Chinese leaders returned home having made no progress on this key issue.

On March 22, Xi Jinping made his first foreign trip as the Chinese regime’s paramount leader to Russia. Optimistic of a favorable outcome, mainland Chinese media prematurely termed Xi’s trip to Russia a “Sino-Russian Partnership against the U.S.”

However, the Kremlin was cautious. Xi’s trip ended with Russian President Vladimir Putin’s refusal to include in the joint statement Russia’s explicit support of China’s territorial claims.

In May, Li Keqiang visited India for the first time as Chinese Premier. In a joint statement, Li emphasized that “India and China have a historic opportunity for economic and social development and the realization of this goal will advance peace and prosperity in Asia and the world at large.”

However, the Indian Express reported that Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, in a meeting with Li, refused to support the CCP’s position on the disputed islands in the South China Sea.

Infact, Russia is helping VN against China

WASHINGTON – Just as it has demanded of the United States, China now is putting pressure on Russia to remove its commercial presence from the South China Sea, particularly the oil exploration projects it has with Vietnam, says a report from Joseph Farah’s G2 Bullet

Not only is Moscow working with Hanoi on the commercial side, but it is selling submarines that Vietnam believes it needs to stand up to Beijing as its feud continues over offshore mineral rights.

Moscow’s commercial and military interests in Vietnam, however, are part of a larger strategic issue of maintaining its presence in the South China Sea, which Beijing claims is in its area of influence.

China wants all outside interests to leave, including the U.S. For Moscow, however, it not only has its own strategic interest in the area, but any pullout would be considered by Moscow as a loss of face and prestige.
