U.S won't directly war with u, but they can push others war with u to weak ur power ... as i said U.S not fool they know how to play game, then U.S will be last one on the stage:coffee:

Push Pinoys? Viets? Japanese? nobody in Asia wants to start a war with China  even supa powa India.
US wants to push EU to start war with Russia, maybe our Comrades should remind them again the glory of the Red Army during WW2. This global order knows only three super powers and Yankees sure ain't that stupid to **** with China and Russia. All we need is time to grow stronger and now it's even too dangerous for Americans to take on DPRK with the backing of China and Russia. Looks like the Axis of Evil will prevail, sorry to ruin your master plan Mr BUSH

You shall know that most of the movie fee goes to hollywood movie and hardly the cinema operator. If China shut . out all Hollywood movie in wartime. It will be the US loses big and not China.

Not really a big loss in terms of AMC/Wanda theater attendance..its already on the way out.

With the advent of home big screen tvs, cable, and Internet streaming theater attendance has been flat/declining for over 20 years.

US households are big screen crazy. Why go out for a movie when you can have a big screen experience at home

"Consumers deciding that 50-inch TVs just aren’t big enough...Americans are increasingly replacing their once-enviable 50-inch TVs with even bigger screens: 65 inches and up."

With the push of a button on your tv remote you can watch any movie.

You can even watch 4K Youtube on your tv

Theaters are facing the same kind of competition problems big shopping malls have with people ordering online. They have to pretty much beg people to come in with fancy seating and served food.

Future growth in theater attendance is looking bleak.

I can't figure out how China hasn't passed the US in theater ticket sales yet.

That is why China market is more important to US. If China shut off hollywood movie in China, US will hurt more. We are not afraid of Wanda shut down in US. But US are more afraid of CPC shut down hollywood movie.

China doesn't even allow all Hollywood movies to be shown in their theaters or it would overwhelm their local film industry.

Deadpool just made $800M worldwide and was never shown in China (that's almost $250M more than "The Mermaid'...which i guess would make it a flop). Ghostbusters is out and won't be shown in China. Even the original release of Avatar was not shown.
So already you can claim a ban is in effect.

You must be too ignorant to know the truth or simply trying to hide something to continue your propaganda. :enjoy:

Yes, but Hollywood isn't making as much profit as it could due to bans.

I guess that fair as long as it opens up room for domestic industry to grow and become competitive.

As long as it is doable, I do not care about fairness -- even though I believe it is fair, if not a response in kind.

China's steel and tire producers do not make as much profit as they could due to bans.

Yeah, but nobody is saying Chinese steel companies need the US market to be profitable.
That's ludicrous.

Of course they need. Why would not they? US is a major market and a loss in that market would definitely create huge loss of revenue and, perhaps, even send them into negative territory.

It is very hard to tell how much they suffer due to the barriers, one would need to look up in their account books to understand fully.

Many years ago when Lenovo wanted to purchase IBM's personal computer unit, the pundits were casting doubts over the deal. Check this out: " Lenovo Agrees to Purchase IBM PC Unit Amid Doubt " WSJ, Dec 2004.

Lenovo cements its position as the no 1 PC makers world wide for many years sometime after the purchase

Is Wanda making a wise choice? I think they should have their expertise to make sound decisions but CEOs will never listen to an unprofessional internet troll for advice

Shanghai Disney welcomes nearly 8 mln visitors

Shanghai Disneyland received close to 8 million visitors in the first nine months since opening in mid-June 2016, said Bob Iger, Walt Disney chairman and CEO Thursday.

The grand opening of the Shanghai Disney Resort was "one of the proudest and most important moments in the history of the company," said Iger at the company's annual meeting of shareholders.

"We're absolutely thrilled with the response and we expect more than 10 million people to visit this park by its first anniversary, which is this June," Iger added.

Early in February, as the company reported its quarterly earnings for its first fiscal quarter ending Dec. 31 last year, Iger showed confidence in the resort's ability to break even this fiscal year.

The resort also plans to open a new themed area, Toy Story Land, in 2018, the first addition to the 3.9-square-kilometer Shanghai resort.

Shanghai Disneyland is the first Disney resort destination on the Chinese mainland and the sixth in the world.

Then tell Trump and co. to STFU

Well I think they estimated 10 million for the first year (which is pretty low for China's population) and they hope to break even. This is definitely a long term investment to get to 15M a year. To put things in perspective Disney World opened in 1971 with around 11 million people in the first year. Today it is 20M+. They also opened other parks next door to Disney World (Epcot, Hollywood etc) and all combined they do 50M+.
