Shamima Begum: Muslim leader urges Bangladesh to take in ISIS bride

Since when have Ahmadi's been muslim.
I respect them as fellow humans but they are not muslims.
Sorry in advance if that offends anyone
Lol. Was waiting for this. At first I though some big-wig from OIC itself was poking his nose.

.
I get that, but Bangladesh foreign minister already said that her case is a no go.

She is an ISIS volunteer - and Bangladesh has a zero tolerance policy for terrorists and terrorism. ISIS (ISIL) is a known terrorist outfit. She can apply - but she has essentially no case for claiming Bangladeshi citizenship.

Citizenship for any country is not a right. It is a privilege awarded and can be revoked, such as this woman's case for being a born-British citizen.

This is incorrect, even if it is correct, it should not be.

The right to citizenship is one of the most fundamental rights of any human, almost akin to the right to life.

The revocation of citizenship started mainly in the western world after the war on terror started, it was not widespread before.

Since she does not already have BD citizenship, then BD has no obligation to allow her in.
Whether she is entitled to apply for BD citizenship is a separate issue.

No government should have the power to revoke someone's citizenship as this is against one of the most fundamental human rights as you say.

I totally agree. No government, no matter what the crime is should not have the power to revoke citizenship. There is court, there are punishments for crimes, but removing citizenship of a human is a barbarity akin to medieval ages.

As for Shamima, the UK govt is just being a hypocrite. She was a minor when she left for Syria, a minor after trial is generally given a light sentence or sent to correctional institutions. The Brits are in a shameful act with her case, the coconut Sajid guy is sucking British rooster to prove how loyal a servant of the white master he is.

I personally think if UK does not finally take her back, BD should take her. It's a humanitarian issue with that girl and I don't think she will fall into terrorism ever again after she learnt her lesson. His father is also living in BD in Sylhet nowadays. She can be married off to a decent guy and she will come back in line.

ISIS bride Shamima Begum should be taken in by Bangladesh in an act of sympathy, a senior Muslim leader has said.

Caliph Mirza Masroor Ahmad, who represents tens of millions of Ahmadi Muslims worldwide, urged any Muslim country to "show sympathy to her" after she was stripped of British citizenship.

Stripping citizenship is only legal if the individual has a second one, and it was thought she may have a claim in Bangladesh because of her family background, but Bangladeshi officials denied this.

It emerged on Friday that Ms Begum had lost her third child (ITV)
Speaking to reporters at the Baitul Futuh Mosque in Morden, south-west London, ahead of an annual peace conference, Mr Ahmad said: "If the British Government has stripped her of her nationality then another country should adopt her, any Muslim country.

"Since her parents were from Bangladesh, the first duty is of Bangladesh to take her as a national."

It emerged on Friday that Ms Begum, now 19, had lost her third child.

A medical certificate showed he died of pneumonia a day earlier, the BBC reported.

Ms Begum previously discussed her fears that she could lose her third child (ITV)
Ms Begum had earlier discussed her fears that she could lose the boy, saying: "This is really not a place to raise children, this camp."

Her family, who vowed to appeal against Mr Javid's decision, had also written to the Conservative minister, pleading with him to allow a safe passage for the boy to come to the UK.

On Saturday, his Labour counterpart, Diane Abbott, said he had "behaved shamefully" over the "tragedy that might have been avoided".

She added: "If the mother and baby had been brought home, the mother, Shamima Begum, would have faced British justice, but the baby might have lived."

Conservative MP Phillip Lee told BBC Radio 4's Today programme that he was "deeply concerned" by Mr Javid's decision, which was "driven by a sort of populism"

Liberal Democrat home affairs spokesman Ed Davey said the boy will be remembered if courts rule Mr Javid acted "illegally in making a British citizen stateless".

He added: "Many of us feared this tragic outcome when the Home Secretary washed his hands of Britain's responsibility for a British citizen and a British baby."

Kirsty McNeill, a director at Save The Children UK, urged Britain to "take responsibility for their citizens" in Syria.

ISIS bride's father apologises to UK for daughter 'doing wrong'
"It is possible the death of this baby boy and others could have been avoided," she added.

Debate raged over Ms Begum's desire to return after she resurfaced in a refugee camp last month and said she wanted to return to Britain as the self-styled caliphate collapsed.

She had left Bethnal Green in east London with two other schoolgirls to join the IS terror group in February 2015.

Conservative Party chairman Brandon Lewis defended Mr Javid, telling Today: "There is no question that the duty of a Home Secretary in this country is to keep British people safe."

A Government spokesman said: "The death of any child is tragic and deeply distressing for the family.

"The Foreign and Commonwealth Office has consistently advised against travel to Syria since April 2011."

This isis lover deserves to be publicly hanged. She is not even Syrian yet has gone there to help contribute to deaths of 100,000s of innocent Syrian civilians. Death to isis and their supporters. shamima begum is a war criminal and deserves to the same fate as the Nazis at Nuremberg.

She must be sent to Iraq/Syria and sentenced to 1000 hours labor, removing dirt from war-torn cities. **** outta here with her cries, terrorist husband needs to be executed.

Seems like if you're a girl you get a pass out of joining IS, if you're white you also get some leverage. If you're brown and captured by security forces for being part in IS then nothing will save you from execution.

So then, don't join isis.

.
After the horrors she faced, the death of her infant child and the indifference of the UK and BD Govts, it will not come as a surprise if this woman commits a suicide attack somewhere, killing dozens of innocent people and the blood of the dead and injured will be on the hands of both the UK and BG Govts.

.
Before this case I used to identify myself as British Pakistani, since this case I am now Pakistani with a British nationality. The current government has made it clear people like me are second class citizens.

I have no personal sympathy for this woman but by the letter of the law, she was a child herself when she was groomed online, smuggled to a foreign country, married, raped, indoctrinated and then kept in a war zone controlled by a terrorist organisation.

If a Pakistani man has sex with a 14—15 year old girl who he bought drinks and drugs, she's a victim. Apparently she's groomed and taken advantage of, even when she's consenting to sex.

How is this girl different other than her race and religion?

Coconut guy Sajid knows this as well.

Do not ever give up links with Pakistan.

We are all guests here and can be kicked out anytime.

. . .
You won't be offending any educated Bangladeshis for sure. There are tons of Ahmadiyya establishments (schools, ibadatkhanas) in Dhaka, and mostly in the more well-to-do neighborhoods. I'd say we in Bangladesh are one of the more tolerant groups, other than of course tolerating extremist philosophies.
For me respect all but when islam has certain criteria and you are outside that tjen you are not inbthe faith. Thats all.

What's funny is that the guy who revoked her citizenship is Sajid Javid. Your home secretary who's also a British Pakistani. Bravo to him. Ultimately either you embrace your host country, its values and culture and become a part of it (like him) or you shun it for petty reasons and become an outcast (like her).

Pakistan has been placed in a similar position by Sajid Javez as he strips citizenship from 2, Pakistani origin family, sisters.
I wonder what Pakistani response is likely to be , to see a Pakistani origin Home Secretary of the UK strip citizenship of these 2 girls.

LONDON: Britain has revoked citizenship from two more women who joined the Islamic State group in Syria, a newspaper reported on Sunday, raising questions about the fate of their children.

The revelation follows a row over a similar decision regarding London teenager Shamima Begum, whose newborn baby died in a Syrian refugee camp last week.

Reema Iqbal, 30, and her sister Zara, 28, left east London for Syria in 2013, and between them now have five boys under the age of eight, The Sunday Times newspaper said.

Citing legal sources, the paper said they had been stripped of their British citizenship.

The pair, who are of Pakistani heritage, reportedly married into a terror cell linked to the murder of western hostages.

A spokesperson said: “Any decisions to deprive individuals of their citizenship are based on all available evidence and not taken lightly.”
Begum, who married a Dutch IS fighter, was located by journalists in a refugee camp after fleeing fighting between the terror group and US-backed forces.

She had asked to return to Britain with her baby, after her two other children died under IS rule.

Interior minister Sajid Javid revoked her citizenship amid security fears, but has been criticised for not doing more to help her son.

British law states that the government cannot remove a person’s citizenship if that would make them stateless.

Begum was thought to be eligible for Bangladeshi citizenship through her parents, but Dhaka said she could not go there.

Javid has previously said that more than 100 individuals had already been deprived of their British citizenship.

Just so you know her Father mostly lives in Bangladesh and can't even speak half decent English, he should take her daughter back to his country. He is a coward and a fraud pretending to be a victim, he should take responsibility of taking care of her daughter.

If you don't want your citizenship revoked, then don't join isis, don't become terrorists or criminals. There, problem solved.
