He was made a public figure for that nuclear program and it seems not many here are aware of the pressure you've to face while being a media face of a big achievement like this.To live an anonymous life between your people with full protocol and respect of the authorities,where you want it and the way you want it,will not make your social life uneasy.Not many can handle that pressure very well.You, not only have to enjoy the fame but also have to face the wrath of masses if something goes wrong.

At times it happens that once you are used to so much attention and fame,you just can't take a "no" as an answer.We should give A.Q khan a break here.As a part of the educated strata of this society one should at least try to comprehend the condition thoroughly.

Public figures are in the limelight.There is an intense focus on them 24 ×7.
Even if he haven't contributed "that bit" to the over all achievement.Will you get rid of him just like that?

Keeping myself strictly on topic.We can see that it was the need of time to make a man ( like A.Q khan) take such a job.

Munir Ahmed khan ,Samar mubarakmund and co. had to enjoy their peace of mind to make this actually happen for us.
Consider them being engaged with masses,the media(whatever was available at that time) and be a public figure and exposed to everything like him, with the project in a neonatal stage undergoing maturation and development.

A simple humble reply would've been better, like,"ap to banne banaye hero hein, siyasat mein jane or upna app muwane ke ap ko bhalla kia zarorat hae?"
